CoC takes up a lot of memory.

Why is the game taking up almost 2GB of internal storage?

It sounds like you have a lot of old data hanging around. You didn't say which OS you're on, so I'll assume Android. I beleive if you delete the app and reinstall it, it'll have a smaller footprint.

Maybe it is due to the cache problem on android.

This is from 2019 and since then the cache load has dubbled. In 2019 it was 350mb and now it is at 650mb.

Clear cache, if it doesn't work than that means that Coc is to much of a greatness to behold .

Adapt, appreciate, and own up to what you have.

Clearing cache doesnt work. It clears the cache but once you load the game the cache adds up over 600mb.
Also clearing cache slows the loading time of clash?

    Android 10, Xiaomi Redmi 4x.
I repeatedly cleared the cache, it does not help + my problem with strong heating of the phone during the game has not been fixed, which I wrote earlier in another thread.

But this is not the topic of this thread and there is no other solution as i have mentioned last year.
I have two android devices and no heating or high battery drain.

That is surprising. Clash is definitely a high usage app.

I wouldn't say my phone get hot but it is certainly very warm. And if I don't plug it in, it will go from 100% to less than 15% in about 3 hours of play. And so does my tablet.
