Thank you RescuSquad I believe that’s exactly what happened. Sadly, I don’t think it asked me to double click even though I have that feature turned on. And I’m concerned it’s going to auto deduct again. 500 diamonds?! Who on earth willingly spends nearly $20 to save a 1 star booster?!

I think I’ll refrain from buying any more diamonds until I’m below 500. It can’t spend what I don’t have. That’s so sad because I was going to buy some of the new flower edging for my farm.

I guess SC didn't really think that anyone would store 20+ boosters when they introduced them. However, they've been adding more and more chances to get "free purchased" boosters ever since. I have some 80 boosters and I've been afraid of the same click error (?) for a long time.

My advice is to keep booster count low. Under 10. I really don't know why I'm hoarding them myself.

Edit: 10th booster would cost 45 diamonds to keep so maybe one should keep the count even lower.
