Masters 2!

Congrats Anarchos!

When was your push? Ours started on Jan 15h and ended on Jan 19th (season cycle). I topped out at 2879, and then lost 2 in a row. Sat with 2869 at the end. This is my first time reaching Master 2 since the update, I have to say that the Infernos completely changed the game up there(my prevous high was 2830).

I used Golem 4, Witch 2 and Wizards for the push. It was strong enough army for medium fortified Th10s with Level 1-2 Infernos (there are NO TH9s up there), but found that my heroes were too weak and wish I had several more wizards for a bit more DPS.

I am also a TH9, but I have started upgrading my TH. Everytime I logged off, it was mostly a loss. Thankfully my base design saves me from the 100% losses, but it's still a huge step back to climb from.

Congrats! Mine started the same day but extends until the 25th. I'm currently at 2803, who knows what I may or may not get before then. I'm no where near ready to upgrade to TH10, although when the update comes out if inferno towers don't get the nerf bat I'm considering making the plunge. Extra spell, plus freeze spell, plus extra troops should help a lot in higher leagues against infernos. And having them on defense could carry you to masters easily. Lol

Without a doubt, on my way down I'll take a whole day stealing DE. I have like 58,000 atm which is enough for my L13 BK, hopefully I can get the needed DE for my L9 AQ on my way down.

It's obviously a little late for suggestions now that your push is almost over, but I was wondering if you had considered pushing with a farming base at all?

I hung out in Master III for a long time with it, because when your th is outside the walls, it's about a 50/50 chance people will only attack your th for easy trophies; hence, you only lose about 10 trophies, gain the shield, and can attack again whenever you want. I find that it works a lot better than coming back to your game to find out you lost a full 31 trophies and the last 3 hours work worth of raiding, but I was just wondering if you had toyed with it. I assume it would be possible to get to Masters II with it, but i never got that far, so I'm just curious as to your thoughts about it.

I hadn't tried that as a TH9. As TH8 I regularly farmed in The 2400 trophy range and it never worked. I tried to keep my TH outside but always got 2-3 star'd. It does suck to get revenged for big trophies but the big trophies I won on defense made up for it.

Also another question, what did you do while waiting for your troops to finish building?

I work in the oil fields and have no supervisor around, so while I drive from well to well (short 20-30 second drives between each well, I'm on the production side of things) I'd occasionally tap the screen of my phone to keep myself logged in. And my army takes about 42 minutes to train. So I would get like 5-6 raids in a day while at work. Plenty of time between my stuff at work to sneak a raid here and there.
