Disable iPad’s ‘Promotion’ within the game itself

I know not many people have the latest iPad Pro with promotion/120hz display but it would be really helpful if you can disable promotion within the game itself rather than going to settings and turning it off as clash of clans takes a lot of battery with 120hz. A button to disable this within the game (like many games have nowadays like alto’s odyssey) would be really great and helpful.

So everything else doesnt use more battery while you have 120hz activated?

No it doesn’t. I use 120hz for everything else except clash of clans, for 5 minutes of playing coc with promotion enabled, it takes around 2-3% whereas it would take about 1% without it.

Last year darian said that clash doesnt support 120hz (i dont if it supports now) and on reddit someone mentioned that his device battery drains more while having 120hz active and clashing.
I cant tell you anything about ios device and you already know the solution.

He actually said something along the lines of: the visuals support 120 hz (everything looks smoother), but the rate at which stuff happens (troop drops, all that stuff) happens at the server refresh rate, which is capped at 60 hz. In short, it only makes visuals more smooth, but does not give anyone an edge. Makes sense that it sucks more battery juice.
