I’m a returning player - why is there a cap on purchasing building materials?!

Hi - I haven’t played this game for a while, and came back to find a daily cap on how much building materials I can purchase. I’ve hit my daily cap several times and it’s frustrating to have to wait 24 hours. It’s unfair. I should be able to buy as much building materials as I want and are able to if I have the coins and the time to search the marketplace.

My suggestion is for this daily cap to be removed.

It was added (mainly) to stop bots, but it has harmed the average player more in the long run. I think it should either be increased or removed.

Maybe a better way to stop bots would be to verify the accounts?

Since all players have the same limit, while frustrating to some, certainly not unfair. There are plenty of players that have never or rarely hit the daily limit.

Thank you. Yes, your referral to Nick’s explanations is helpful. I still think it’s unfair. Even if there are plenty of people who never hit that daily limit, I hit or nearly hit that daily limit several times over the last two weeks. I’m not sure what the problem with the bots is or how they mess with the trading, but I’m not okay with not being allowed to make trades I wish to make when I have the coins and the time to do it. There should be another way to confirm accounts to ensure they are authentic.

Yes, I agree. I think the whole thing is unfair, and it is quite ridiculous and disproportional. Many of my friends have quitted playing and I am on my way as it has got so boring (shifting to a reasonably balanced & proportional game).

"This is a patience and management game" and similar statements do not work for me where I need to wait for a barn expansion for weeks and the amount of food is increasing so apparently I need more space. Plus, I am playing town so my barn also gets full with the town expansion materials that I get from the visitors and I cannot sell them because not all the buildings are fully upgraded: yet another need for room in barn.

1. NOT fair because my farm that is app. level 160 needs to collect app. 140 of each items (bolt, plank, duct tape) and for what? Ridiculous 50 storage increase, while a lower level farm needs to collect much less for the same storage increase. What is the so-called fairness in this? None.

2. Linked to the above, the amount of items for the barn expansion that a higher level farm must collect is not fair, especially considering 50 storage increase = not proportional.

If Supercell will follow the ridiculous cap, then the amount of storage increase must equally increase (e.g., 100 above a certain level).

3. Do note that there were (many) people who were trading so there were quite reasonable number of players who were trading more than 80 items a day. Some or most of them are gone now.

4. Fight against bots: They can't sell me the fight against bots argument. The newspaper is full of bot farms, and I am not putting anything on the newspaper anymore.

Personal experience: I apparently got followed by a "bot" farm (or whatever it was) that was taking certain food that I was putting on my stand for my hood members (yes, taking certain food from my stand in seconds). I later realized that it was a farm that was following me. After blocking that farm, all got back to normal - at least for now.

If Supercell had really wanted, they could have verified the accounts in many different ways. And fight against bots: Nope, they are out there.

5. Irrelevant issue: The amount XP that I get, e.g. when I fill in the boat for certain food, is just funny. So, unless there is double or triple XP event, I am not doing boats and trucks. Thanks to Supercell, they also killed that aspect (fun) for me.

As I said, I am on my way out. Hope that the game gets proportional and well-balanced.

For now best way is to create mini ids, I don't like the idea but also don't have much of choice I trade whenever I can and with multiple ids I don't face limit problem

But would be great if they can at least increase limit captions little more

Multiple accounts doesn’t mean you don’t face the cap. It only means each account can buy 80 per day. You still have to get it to the account you need it in, following the limitation of buying 80.
