Clan members see “war spectator” in war screen

We haven’t started our cwl spin as of yet, but our members see “war spectator” when they look at the war tab, this makes it look like they haven’t been included in cwl and some have quit the clan.

Members get a “war spectating isn’t allowed message”, but no war has been started.

Elders and co’s can see the war tab as per usual.

This is probably connected to the update earlier in the year which prevents members from viewing CWL war unless they are on the roster. Put them on it, start the spin, and they should be fine.

I believe this is to prevent spying in cwl.

How can a member see if the CWL started without being rostered in?

This is probably connected to the update earlier in the year which prevents members from viewing CWL war unless they are on the roster. Put them on it, start the spin, and they should be fine.

Possibly, but until this month I've never seen it happen before the CWL spin has started. I have an account that is a regular member, and I usually see a screen that says something like "tell your leader to start war" or something like that.

Some of our members are worried they were left out of CWL. The workaround is fine, and I've communicated this with my clan. But the bug is causing unnecessary panic.

The button is still greyed out but now an exclamation mark is seen. CWL hasn't started yet.

I agree it causes panic because not everyone is seeing the same. Participating is important for most players. It is that we communicate but this isn't an ideal situation.

This is some sort of bug, there is a discussion on the general forum now that maybe will get merged here. Even members who aren’t new are getting this and some are leaving clans out of frustration, thinking they can’t be in CWL.
