Unless you bring Gowiwi or Gowipe to a party, most troops don't stand a chance now. I just hit a base that had th7 lvl defense and two lvl two infernos and my loonion army was destroyed. This is plain stoopid to have one defensive structure have this kind of power.
I totally agree that infernos need to have differences in the lvls:
lvl 1: 3 targets 100% heal
lvl 2: 4 targets 50% heal
lvl 3: 5 targets 25% heal
Come on SC this game is supposed to be fun, not skip land!
Please do not reply bring 'freeze' spell as it is expensive and this is not sustainable with no loot to capture.... This game is way out of tilt...
Its not that the inferno towers are over powered, its that they are a multiplier for every other weapon within range of the troops being hit by the IT. It effectively lets every weapon 1 shot smaller troops and 2-3 shot others. Multi heads don't work well against the Teir 3 troops with high hit points.

Thats the whole point, if an inferno tower is in spread mode dont attack it with the weaker troops, find a base with inferno towers in single attack because you can overwhelm those easily with lots of troops. The same holds true if you have strong troops, attack the inferno towers in spread mode and they will hardly even damage your troops.
