There needs to be a way to disable the “spam filter”

clash of clans has really taken a step backwards with their attempts to make the game more “player friendly”, especially with the removal of global chat and now with the implementation of non negotiable censored clan chat. I cant be the only one who absolutely hates that global chat is gone along with being able to say swear words in my own clan.

The clan chat censoring has to do with some US law that requires SC to take action.
    That action you wonder?

If one of your clan members is age 16 (maybe 15) or younger and they are US based, the clan chat filter is automatically put on.

As for global, it was a cesspool of toxicity that required a bunch of time, money, and other resources to moniter.
SC made the decision to drop global b/c it was a nightmare to police and then take action (if necessary). Some of this action included legal violations in various countries and each country has its own laws that they enforce, so you can well imagine the legal difficulties presented in policing an international global chat.

Someone is in violation both in terms of SC's TOS and their respective country's laws and SC is now responsible for taking action against said player in game (temp. ban, etc.) and for reporting that player to the authorities in that player's country.

Hopefully, you can understand why it was shut down & why it won't be coming back.

Most important to remember, it is not "your clan" where you can do anything you please - you are operating on the servers of a private company and are subject to their terms of use.

More practically though, this filter is only applied if there is someone in your clan who is under 16, and who created their SCID account in the last few months. If you find this person, and remove them from the clan, the chat censoring should go away.

Since you put it that way, I guess in my view they made it more player friendly..
They took away the cesspit that was global chat, and they also stopped anyone from simply carrying it back to their clan.
Oh the injustice of it all..

I work in industry, so am rather prone to uttering a few juicy words myself.. or a lot.
But to type it?.. I dont see the attraction.. It is totally unnecessary when one has time to actually think of a descriptive word.

Good news for you, as stated earlier, is get rid that Under 16 American and you can cuss away to your hearts content..
Global chat on the other hand.. That mire got drained permanently.
