Do you mean names that are used a ton in CoC? If yes, then no there be no effect on who you can PM, if you have someone in your clan named Bob for example, you'll be able to PM him without no affect. Again, you can only PM people in your clan or in global chat, you can't search people to PM then, that way top players won't get spammed with PM's

EDIT - Now I know what you mean, someone asked the question a couple pages back, this is what I responded with
Thats actually a very good thought. What if their was a small system that added a number in people's usernames if they have the same name
For example, let's say that I am PM'ing two people that have the same name "TheEmperor"
What will happen is that a number will be added to them saying
TheEmperor (# 1)
and
TheEmperor (# 2)
-This could be a solution if there is multiple people that have the same name in the PM chat

Hmmm.... good idea, but I think private messages should be within the clan only.
I did have the same thoughtof this PM features before, well most of the clashers does. Easier to manage the clan, can have a private talk or suggestion without flooding the clan chat. However, dont u think by implementating this PM features will turn the clash of clan just like a whatsapp/wechat/kakao and many more? Well, i love the idea though as I am a co leader and sometime i need to have private talk with leader and other coleader. But at the same time i don want this game getting heavier. Lot of function contribute to lot of problem. It gonna be great if this can be implemented while not affecting anything.

I disagree, he made a way to block players who spam you in pm. I don't know why this would be a problem.

There wouldn't be much of a problems if you simply mute/block them, if someone from global PM's you asking for your kik or something else, then you can block them and they wont be able to bother you anymore
