Pets (to pet or not to pet?)

i only have one dog
but it is very loyal to me and loves me! and i named it hazel.
and having pets is pretty fun. so i would say yes; get a pet.

I have 6 dogs, 6 cats, 6 horses and 2 donkeys. The donkeys seem to sleep every hour and yield something after 4?/5? wakings. The other pets yield 6 goodies (+ lots of xp) every time I waken them, usually 3 times a day. I was persuaded after reading other forum members' posts to go for all the pets and they definitely pay for themselves for me.

Exactly the same here (6 cats, 6 dogs, 2 donkeys and 6 horses...don't want more horses because I cant with the third stable only housing two horses lol). I get 2 tools from waking each species...so 6 everytime (so that makes 18 to 24 over the course of 24hrs, sometimes I forget to wake them or have to do things in real life). The donkeys give one tool about every third to fourth time

Oh definitely pet! The purchase price is steep, granted. But feeding them is easy, cow feed to get milk is quite fast. Pig feed takes longer, but there is so little to be made with the bacon that at least this uses it up.

I'd love a pet that could be fed eggs, wonder what that could be. Snake?!

Pigs would eat eggs, they are omnivores just like us humans hehe. Also I hear that feeding a yolk sometimes helps with cats' and dogs' shiny coat

I'm with you on the empty space in the third stable. I actually suggested a donkey a long time ago for the space and got all excited when they were added, only to find they have their own building

I got trouble to find vouchers or ill get more pets.... But i not often get just xp and not so often bems and sems bot sometimes i do... And that make it worth it

I find it interesting to see that you're all benefiting quite well from your pets (ok, minus the donkey!). Yes, the stable thing is a bit sneaky...

I only have 3 dogs...could have more and different pets, but the dogs just haven't yielded much at all, so I figured why bother?

From your responses perhaps the problem is that Im not waking them 'frequently' enough (once a day)?

Still, I should be getting something every third day at a minimum but all I get is XP. Its rare to get anything...maybe every 6-7 days? Not certain.

So perhaps increasing my number and type of pet, plus waking them more often might alter this?

I wake and feed my pets as soon as I notice empty food bowls. I usually get at least 1 thing each time so you may be right. The dogs only need bacon so is there any particular reason why you're not feeding them more often?

Make sure that you have free slots in your barn when you wake them. If your barn is full you will not get the goodies when you wake them, just the experience.

But in response to your original post, definitely get pets! I got mine basically for the goodies. Hmm, it may be time for me to add a few more.

I have 6 dogs (2 of each), 3 cats, a donkey and 2 horses (the bay and the Andalusian). I don't want any more pets. I'm happy with the ones I have. I don't like the looks of the other two horses, so I won't get those. I'm not worried about the xp they give me. I usually get 2, sometimes 3 items when I wake all the pets up at the same time. I wake my pets at least once a day. Sometimes, I'll watch them eat, run around then fall asleep, and when they're all asleep I'll wake them all up again right then, haha.
