why is coc more focused on nerfing skill based strats like zap lalo and not worrying about people 3 starring bases with 15 yetis and 8 eq?

The three star rate of 15 yetis and 8 eq is extremely low against max bases, so that really has no reason to be looked into. (I don't like the zap nerf either, I just disagree with that comparison.)

I must confess that I feel like a noob because as a TH11, I haven't heard about the zap lalo meta until now.

I'm still learning the Edragloon meta so I may become a one star specialist to help my clan during war. I told my clanmates including the War Manager that I wasn't joking because I got zero and three star attacks before so they average out to one star attacks. If I get more than one star, then it's Lady Luck smiling on me instead of my awesome scouting skills or brillant attack strategy.

But the saving grace is I used two attacks except for CWL.

I don't see the skill involved in zapping stuff off the map. I think they did the right thing.

It takes a large portion of your spells. Its a tradeoff. 5 light, 1 quake per scatter. Leaves 1 spell. Do I take poison to kill super minions or freeze to help my wrecker get to the town hall. Keeping your attack going with 1 spell and warden ability takes far more skill than combining the starship boost planet with tie ds or bwings and carpet bombing defenses.

thats like saying "i dont see the skill involved in playing piano. they are just pressing keys" i have played piano for a long time and let me tell you it is, while close to my heart, very difficult.

same thing with zapping. it requires practice because you learn what locations on a players base will give you the most value for zapping. just like you get a feel for chords and music theory, you get a feel for where to place spells or troops to efficiently squeeze the stars from the players base.

The game evolves. Some argue that there’s too much skill needed, too little; too many 3*, too few... too much defense, too much offense.
Just chill, and remember: it is a game.

Starship boost planet? Why, what ever do you mean? I only ever did Restricted NO OP wars.

I get what you're saying Piper, but I'm only referring to that specific use of zap spells, not whatever attack strategy follows it.
