you first need to earn some hats before you can add one to an animal, think its not well designed but the space is now empty (on the pole there will be a hat when earned)

Sorry but I can’t work it out either, everyone is being given the hats free so there shouldn’t be a reason we can’t get an animal to wear one. Hoping someone can work this out for us .

I tried give my chickens hat, and i can't remove it
You will need to complete all the Pass tasks to obtain a free hat, as this is a trial run you will also be able to claim the ‘paid’ for items which includes the hat.
Lol. You have to earn 100 pass points for the hat by completing daily/seasonal goals. Once you do, drag the hanger over the animals pen, select the hat, then the animal and tap "confirm".
