Same. I can't play on my Android phone. It crashes, right when the game is zooming in on the message board by the RSS. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it doesn't help...

Per Nick, the crash is affecting Android devices running Android OS 11. I can confirm because I'm using OS 9 and my device doesn't crash.

I just checked my device and you're right. I'm starting to worry about the severity of the current situation because it's around 1AM in Helsinki. Are some members of Team Hay Day forgoing sleep to fix the issues arising from the new update? Or maybe they're working in shifts to develop a patch and we may expect more maintenance breaks in the next 24 hours?

Team Hay Day, I hope you're getting enough sleep because a lack of sleep may lead to a compromised immune system. IMO, everyone must strive to maintain a strong immune system during these challenging times to mitigate the spread of COVID19. Good luck everyone.
