My first RPG!
Yes, inferno towers are overpowered. I agree 100%, but they were a step that SC had to take. TH rushers (gemmers) are their bread and butter, and the loot penalty at TH10 was screwing over the people that had spent triple digit amounts of money on CoC and rushed to TH10. They needed some way to make their most important customer's lives easier, so they designed an absurdly strong tower exclusive to max ths. The problem was not solved, however, as they were still being screwed by hogs. To solve this, they made the new upgrades to the inferno tower.
Sad thing about these premature th10 bases is now they also have the loot penalties that come along with a th10 which means less loot for them and also less loot in the game. These bases often have very little loot to raid. I can also imagine that it must be very hard for them to save for those big upgrades at th10 or th9 for that matter. Are they really better off with two inferno towers and three x-bows that will probably have to be bought with gems anyways ? Maybe but I don't think they will have a very easy time trying to upgrade everything else on there base without using gems to then. Farming has become a lot harder with the introduction of the infernos. Even at lower levels.
I've read the argument elsewhere that TH10s NEED Infernos the way they are to protect them against TH8-9s to which 400k Gold/Elixir is available and who have access to high level hogs.
Since SC is taking steps to encourage people to attack people at their own level, maybe the solution wouldn't be to nerf ITs but to provide TH10s with a way to counter them (a new dark troop for instance). That way premature TH10s would be protected from TH8-9s while still being accessible to other TH10s (as they should).
Thoughts?
This certainly wasn't the worst but one I remembered to take a screen shot of. The scary part was the number of TH9's I saw upgrading to to TH10's with Th4 level defenses.
Also not sure why people assume you need to gem to get L3 inferno towers. On my second account I have rubbish defenses (haven't done any upgrades over 400k gold). I don't even raid but still just by collecting collectors I managed to save the 4m for TH10 uprade easy enough. Once this is done 3M to get first IT done and then that will offer enough protection to make saving the next 3m for the second easier. With 2 inferno towers garuding storages I really don't see saving for upgrades being much of a challenge
This is without attacking. If you attack too then it will be a lot easier

Nice now all you need to do is upgrade your infernos to lvl 3, x-bows to lvl 4, air defenses to lvl 8, archer towers to lvl 12, cannons to lvl 12, wizards towers to lvl 8, mortars to lvl 8 and you Tesla to lvl 7 and your set to. Not to mention your walls, collectors, barracks, army camps, DE drills and spell factory. I still don't think you will have it that easy.
What does that have to do with anything? Its my second account I use purely for donating I don't care about defenses.
The point was people have been saying those with prem bases with inferno towers obviously gemmed them. I am saying it is certainly possible to get them without gemming (would be better if they had to be gemmed since at least then there would be less of them)
All I see on that screenshot is 67k gems.![]()
