clan castle level 1 achieved. now what?

for some reason I thought I was going to be able to put archers in this thing to defend my village.

but I don't see a prompt to add troops. just blank spaces.

does it need to be level 2?

and if its out of the walls what do attackers get by destroying it or what do I lose if its destroyed?

You need to join a clan, then your clanmates can put troops in your castle.

You don't put troops in it your clan mates will. You need to join a clan now that u have the castle to see how it works.

You gotta join a clan and when you request, clanmates give you troops that you either use for attack or defense.

On defense, they deploy once the castle's radius is entered by enemy troops.

On offense, the troops are deployed in one package, and you must deploy what looks like your clan shield to place them.

Depends on the clan, but mostly its only donating

Your clan castle is your best defensive structure even though it is not classified as such, but only when it has donated troops inside it.

You have 10 spaces that means two people can donate archers to you.

Even if they only donate lvl 1 archers at 7 DPS each that's 70 damage per second in the one building, vastly stronger than any other defensive building.

Placement of the clan castle is important, at the early stages you want to place it so it has 100% coverage of your base that way an attack from any side will trigger it.

All the more reason to find a good active clan (check the clan talk part of our forum for that)
