you finally find a TH4 base that you can knock over, that has enough elixir to get your eight hour upgrade going right before bed, and then, for the first time you've seen them in the game, wizards come out of the clan castle and melt your entire troop after you send in the balloon and take out the air defense/arch towers

I remember being very disappointed in the early stages of the game, when somebody had high level troops in their castle and there was just nothing you could do against them.
That's life. It helps to have good connections aka having a good clan.
