some of you might have seen itzu's today's video about mass drags attacks in legends league. he claims that yeti smash is the current meta, and thus, that many bases run all 4 xbows on ground, and thus that air attacks got a good chance atm (anti-meta attacking).
i agree, and here's why: this is my current defense log at about 5300-5400 trophies, mid season.
*) hybrid (hogs, miners): 5 attacks
*) e-drags: 6 attacks
*) zap-lalo: 1 attack
*) mass witches: 2 attacks
*) drag-bat: 1 attack
*) pekka bo witch: 3 attacks
*) yeti variants: 16 attacks
so, out of 33 attacks only 8 attacks were air-based... and yes, i have been running all my 4 xbows ground for quite some time now, and i rarely ever get 3-star'ed. (old-school centered townhall ring base, haha).
actually, i got 3*'ed only 3 times: 1 zap-lalo, 1 hybrid, and 1 pekka-bo-witch. not a single yeti-based army in the last few days made 3*'s...
the other side:
strangely enough i am running a ground based army myself (but why? ;-) ). mass witches+10 zaps, 2 eqs... easy enough and powerful enough.
problem there is multi infernos, so i counted those as well from my current attack log.
i found:
*) 9x teaser base, 3 single
*) 3x teaser base, 3 multi
*) 1x teaser base, 1 single, 2 multi
*) 1x ring base, 3 multi
*) 1x ring base, 2 single, 1 multi
*) 3x anti3, 1 single, 2 multi
*) 2x 9-squares base, 2 single, 1 multi
the majority of those bases are still running more single infernos than multis. maybe that's why my witches are doing well enough...
long story short: are you guys doing mass drags (with or without bats)? do you have success with it?
