Doesn’t Supercell spend money on getting good, fair and creative ideas!!!??? �� Your free idea of launching cwl seemed to be correct for a certain time but after watching the doggy style mismatches, the idea seems to be nothing but deleterious for the users not for Supercell though. �� As they don’t give their ♥ attention on user comfortability because their only thought is money and money ��.
Exchange your doggy style ideas and bring some real n fair experience for users.

There is no matchmaking in CWL.

Since then, it has simply been random matching within the tier you are in.
But moving on, I would guess you are playing in a lower tier, possibly Gold.
I say this, because now, for the higher tiers, the matching, though still random by tier, is pretty good..
Time has allowed clans to grow heavy and fat, so if you havent got the weight to go with the skill, or vice versa, you wont survive the tier.
The cut off point for visual randomness is around the Crystal 2/3 cut off point at present I would guess, but those tiers still require a ready supply of heavy accounts, as well as being of average playing ability..
Below that tho, is the mix of lighter rosters being bogged down by inactive heavy rosters..
Treat it as a farming week, and harvest those medals, until such a time the clan can move up to where some degree of competition can be observed.. Or sit out the two day sign up and start spinning again.
Each time someone suggests money grab, I think of Gold Pass..
I spent money on gems before its release, and those gems bought me a BOH from the trader..
Now, for the same outlay, I get gold pass..
Seems like they dropped the ball on that one if they were simply looking to take my money.

CWL is good leave it alone.
You seem to be wanting something new. Can you describe what it is? And how is it different to CWL and different to Classic War, and different to multiplayer battles?
Is this some kind of rant about matchmaking in cwl (which doesn't exist)?
OP probably wants a normal war, but to be weekly like the cwl and to also have matchmaking just like the normal wars.
That sounds completely doable using normal war.
But not for a tiered structure.
Clans would struggle to find a match.. Not only would the rosters have to match, but also the tier level, of which there are 18 tiers.
An added problem is that its supposed to be about who is the top clan..
How can you do that if everyone is matching at different weights?
No.. It isnt a feasible option.. Need to choose regular or cwl.
