Next cost and upgrade time reduction will be after the release of town hall 14,as already 2 cost reduction have been done this year

A couple of thoughts after reading this....
Yeah it's particularly true that the building time might not be reduced that much contrasted with that of lower ones. But why shouldn't it be that way? SC obviously don't want player to get maxed so fast and increase the huge gap between the two sides which always has been. Having that said, it is quite reasonable to say why SC hasn't made a reduction in the upgrades of higher THs often.
While they want a freshman to progress faster, this reduction of cost happens to be an encouragement. On the contrary they don't want the Th 13 players to get maxed fast and lose fascination from the game early and start complaining and tell that they feel bad about it. ….
As it happens, you can fix it if you are having trouble with your upgrades with appropriate planning and using magic items genuinely. Just enjoy the game while things are upgrading and relax. As I see it, you haven't said anything particular as why you are annoyed with kicking your heels so long, I am assuming you aren't having builder problems as well due to the longing for getting the builders to be free. But if you are facing it, then it's time to plan your upgrades.
Well whatever it is, there's a reason for those upgrades being tedious and it's for very good reason, forsooth.

The OP isn't talking about higher townhalls. It takes much more than a week for updates at higher town halls.

You will find that upgrade times are much more than 1 week for each defence upgrade when you go to higher town halls. SC have already reduced the times quite significantly at lower levels, and will probably reduce them a bit more in future.

Right, lol👍. Initially read it as "more than 2 weeks".
To OP: 7 days of upgrade time is nothing. If one week sounds excessive, just check the TH13 upgrade times, lol.

Or just create alts, lol. I have about 50 alts rn. There is always something to do when the builders of the top 6 accounts are(always)busy. Destroying opponent clans with one-man wars feels great too.

That's a nice idea.
Of course it will be better to spend some time on the minis rather than waiting for a few days when you have very little to do on your main one(except making your storage overflow so that you can dump loot immediately after any upgrade is done).
That actually helps a lot to advance fast on the other bases when you are maxed and planning for next TH or your builders got busy.
