Thread: Supercell should reduce the cost of walls and here is why!!!

    Everyone is saying the members will be mad and yes they probably will, but thats what needs to be done for improvements to happen. My parents constantly say that they had to read books to do research because they didnt have the internet, but the fact that they are mad because it was tougher for them doesnt hold enough weight to not make research easier. Its the same principle, improvements make things easier, obviously, so anyone who came before the improvement had it tougher, obviously. But that does not mean dont make improvements. I agree walls should be less expensive

    Nope.

    Walls are expensive for a reason. It ensures that players always have something to work on. The fact that not very many players have maxed walls allows the few who do have them maxed to have something to show for their efforts. If you don't think that walls are that helpful to begin with, you shouldn't complain about their prices anyways. I probably will not ever have maxed walls, but I think that it is awesome that walls vary in progression among even the top ranks. If walls were cheaper, maxing them would not be an accomplishment anymore. Decreasing the price would result in so many players capping them that max walls wouldn't even be special.

    Your talking about real world improvement's and technology (like the tv comment earlier). Wall prices should and will stay the same. Decreasing the price of walls does not improve the quality of the game. If anything it would reduce the quality. You would have to build bigger and stronger armies just to farm because everyone would have level 9+ walls (then we will be littered with more farming complaint threads). Making real world comparison of cost to a game is simply put dumb. The reason the cost of tvs, cars, phones, etc. drop after a bit is because the newer model is coming out. Stop comparing to purchases in real life. In clash there is a newer "model" wall it's called...upgrading them and all upgrades have a cost. Choosing to upgrade is up to you.

    Just because you cant afford the higher level fancy lookin walls, or not having the ability to farm gold, you cannot ask the prize of the walls to be lowered. To reiterate, as of now, only the walls differentiate between casual player and Hardcore farmer nothing else in the game.
    If you really want to make your base fancy looking while not having the skill to do it. Gem it as many other does..

    2 reasons why this will never happen.

    A. Supercell would lose money. That never happens.
    B. People who have farmed entire max bases, or at least legos know how hard it is, and would be royal PO'd if they dropped the price on walls after having to go through months of farming walls.

    I think you missed the fact that upgrading your walls costs 2 billion + gold.
    Please tell me about any other upgrade that = even close to that amount.

    The issue is that it's so ridiculously overpriced that its outside the bounds of reality.

    The one thing that helps defend and keep things out is a wall. The better the wall the more damage it can take in and be able to keep out other people troops. But as we all know the walls are expensive once you get to lvl 5. They really need to lower the price down a lot cause not everyone has a million dollars to spend on just one wall.

    Anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot. The only thing is that supercell WANTS people to spend money. The best solution is to make walls stronger and to possibly make a way to let it defend against hogs

    Walls become expensive at legos, that when wall farming takes longer than about a month (unless you go complete harcore everyday and farm them in like a week)

    Won't happen. I used to think that way, but realized that:

    Walls are your primary defense: depending on their level your defenses will have more or less time to do their work.

    Weak walls are easily taken out by wallbreakers, ignored by hog riders, laughed at by loons and dragons. Strong walls force the enemy to bring more WB, sacrificing slots to fit them and having less units that could improve their chances of success, or to change their strategy to bring you down, relying on more expensive armies to take you down.

    A good wall perimeter shows that a player dedicated a good time to get in the game, make the effort to farm their worth, and upgrade them, or dedicated a good time in their RL to get money and pay them off, which in turn makes profit for SC, which in turn cares about the game and let's you play instead of shutting out because they make no business with it.

    There are economic reasons, and there are gameplay reasons. Walls are, as they are right now, fine as they are. They serve their purpose well and their price is set accordingly.
