Think it was 14-16 when we were normal clan
Then I guess there are a few here overdue that mismatch mate https://cocp.it/tops
I have played in one, visited another 2, and doubt the MMA is doing much of anything to halt their progress (of those still active).
As an Edit.. Sam?.. You need take a look mate.

You have to know the secret password and pass a top secret background check. Learn the special handshake. Then you may be allowed to know the secrets.. And no, i don't know the details.
They basically very carefully groom their roster to ensure their particular balance of offense and defense pulls opponents that are weaker. From what little I understand, its a good bit more complex than the old cookie cutter one cannon wonders that used to plague the game.
I checked first 2, they are not doing wars so they made streak long back when it was much easier. Even if long streak clans are out there then as we discussed earlier they were engineered clans which fight with matchmaking system rather than opponents. We just spin a regular war with our best anti 3 bases and try to 3 star every base. So mismatches are possible as we go higher, thats reality mate.
I fully agree the spin can go against you, so that eventually a loss is pretty much inevitable.
But I dont agree that the MMA purposely does it..
I think it is simply luck of the draw and law of averages, coupled with commonality and skill level that dictates how often a given clan that doesnt work the system will win.
SC have said Recent War Performance is a consideration built into the algo..
But we dont know exactly what this means.. when it kicks in.. and how much of an effect it causes..
There was a popular theory a while back that the magic number is 5.. But I think all of us whom manage to string a few wars together will have seen that easier wars can come later.
Also agree that the opti bases/rosters are built specifically to "over ride" anything in the system that can snap a streak..
Indeed, they use the random element to their advantage.. Rushed bases, or odd break downs have to match with somebody if they are to get a war.
But it also shows that the matching process is mainly dealing with numbers and patterns, rather than steadily increasing in difficulty.
To add a disclaimer, since I have a fondness for the guys..
I used to roster engineer.. An inferior sub set of engineering that would eventually throw up a prep day loss when the luck ran out..
But I have never personally done base engineering, except for the x.5 type that was once very popular.
Indeed, I still prefer the slightly offence side of balanced account for war, but find wars much more fun when it isnt already done and dusted soon as the draw is made.

19 for the mini clan, eventually got matched with a clan that outmatched us by a mile in the middle. Just didn't have enough attacks to cover it.
Never really done the engineering thing when it was a thing and not clever enough for the rest of itAlways been interested to see what the big win streak clans do for the advantage. Figured it might come down to a prep days arms race on occasion and just selective lab upgrades and defence weight.
