Nice vid. Just look at how many ppl were involved !!
Congrats on making the story understandable entirely without text.
It did come at the price of keeping interrelationships of chracters simple, and if there were something to point out, it‘d be that calling it a Clash of Clans Short is wrong,
it is a Clash Royale Short. (And without a Forum for CR here, there‘s no need for further discussion.)

The number of people watching this short was so much that the YouTube view count broke and was stuck at 400000 and after 1 hours went directly 1 million

^^^My exact thoughts when I watched it. Couldn't have said it better. Ditto.

I thought I saw tags for Lost and Crowned, Clash of Clans, and Clash Royale. Having played both, I see the elements of both. Just as some troops are used in both games. (I just see it as promoting the “Clash Universe”, which obviously all started from Clash of Clans.)

I don’t want to cross-reference the list of credits with a list of SC staff to see if any of the game teams were involved in the making of, and if so how many from each game team, lol.

I just loved it, and hope maybe they can use it in movie theatres as an actual pre-show “short”, similar to what they did with the Angry Neeson commercial. ? That needs to be shared with a wider audience.

    Thanks TerM!

Got kinda worried snooks might be gf, but seems there's no gf in the set-up so she is absolutely confirmed.

Yes indeed, the story was very understandable, and the way they looked gave their personality (the younger skelly looks younger because he has no chin). Kudos to the animator team!

Side note: the story is a clash short, so that's both CoC and CR.

Nice animation.... But what's the point of producing it?

Think of all the video game movies that have ever come out. Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Warcraft, Final Fantasy, etc. Now go look at how well they did at the box office. The exception to this are comic book movies, and apart from the Marvel franchise, how well have other comic book movies done?

One of the reasons is because it's very difficult to make a 2-hour, full length feature film about something that has an expansive universe. This is especially true when the universe is already well established with a lot of fandom. The movie needs to be canonical enough to cater to the hardcore fans but also needs to be approachable by people who have never heard of the franchise. And because you have to make that compromise, you usually end up with the worst of both worlds. That's why movies based on video games rarely do well.

We didn't make this movie to make money. It's purely a passion project to breathe some fun life into the Clash universe and show a little of what goes on behind the scenes when you're not watching your troops.
