    Instead of continuing down the wrong path, simply reverting the loot system to the previous one is much simpler. You must not have a very good grasp of the pulse of the farming community. These forums would erupt into a feeding frenzy if that was ever considered,

    Steve said they're looking into the next button issue so cut them a little slack. We used to have an issue searching for a match. We had to click next next next down the bottom till it went to clouds and found another base. SC listened and they changed it to the queue system we have now. Give them a chance to resolve the issue as they have made it quite clear they are aware of the situation.

    Shorter shields would give access to more loot for sure. But it would be the mid level players that suffer, not the L100+. Even when you see these guys with 400k, it's not exactly easy to get the loot. However, some THs would get 3 starred by a barch army as soon as they come off a shield...so if they have the loot, well it becomes they "had" the loot very quickly!

    Maybe a compromise would be to make the shield from a TH only without 50% of building be short, maybe a couple hours. That would be a chance to re arm traps and cc, but not go overnight with a cheap shield. That would free up more bases with decent loot for attack, but still allow those with TH outside to have some benefit during the day.

    Another option would be to drop the max shield time, or even all shield times by a couple hours to free up more attack options.

    I don't necessarily think this is THE answer to the next problems, but I could see it being part of a solution.

    I take Steve at his word when he says reverting is not an option. I believe SC should make sure the loot we can generate goes back to the way it was before the new system, and am intrigued by different ideas for how to get there.

    I kind of like the idea of the forums erupting into a feeding frenzy, sounds fun! Almost anything is better at this point than Next Next Next Next Next Next Next Next Next Next Next Next ...

    Well, I consider the newloot system better then the old one. However there needs to be enough loot in the system for things to work.

    It has been suggested before that th on its self would not gove a shield. Personallythis would not be a problem to me as I have been mostly farming with my th inside my base. Just have trust my defense to handle raiders as it has for the most parts. Very few big losses, but I tend to stay in a league where I am not the easiest prey even if I might be the wealthiest

    I get the idea that the number of inactives should be kept to a workable level, but I wonder if SC has considered that lately it seems the inactives have gone worse qualitywise. People are not maxing their mines and collectors, which leads to worse loot then before even if the ratio is kept to the old level.

    Why bother even having shields? That would free up tons of loot if we didnt have shields.

    This logic makes no sense. There are tons of available bases, no one has trouble finding a base. Everyone has trouble finding loot. More bases won't help. More LOOT will.

    Because one of the main design goals for CoC is that people don't lose all their loot. Shields play a critical role in making sure that doesn't happen.
