    Personally, I am still doing OK my style of raiding and time to play the game seems to be suited, but there are clearly countless people struggling.

    I had genuinely thought that SC and mods just didn't want to get drawn into the loot thread (I regretted my involvement in it)

    But if an employee has to ask "what's up?" at the moment, they clearly are paying very scant attention to threads they started themselves.

    Hey Steve, is taking away the shield we get from putting our town halls outside the walls one of the options you are looking at to fix the excessive next issue?

    seems to me that might make more of the active bases with full storages available to farmers if the town hall snipers cant get them.....

    Lol, the forums would erupt into a frenzy if that was ever considered. But with the way things have been going nothing suprises me anymore concerning this game. I could just see it now, "Oh, you guys want to complain about there not being loot? Okay, no more shields for a town hall outside of the base. Take that!"

    Glad to see many good responses and less trolling from forumers. Always a good sign.

    Now, I would like to add from what I have said before about the 'lack of loot' and 'time spent searching for reasonable loot'.

    The net profit gained from 'lets say a brilliant 250-350k raid could, in many cases, be only 100-150k. That is becuase searching takes forever resulting in an accumulated loss of gold.

    Personally, before the update, I will farm and farm till my storages are full while I await for a builder to free. However, since the update, I (as a farmer with Town Hall outside) tend to sit on my shield and just login to donate as I know I will waste a lot of gold searching. This has impacted me a lot. When my builders to free up, they are fast asleep as I do not have enough gold for the costly upgrades (x-bow level 3 etc)

    I appreciate your comment on the situation and knowing SC does not plan to change the loot system. At least we know more than we did before.

    Regarding feedback on the next situation, it is a problem for two reason. First is the cost, which can completely eat away any profit. Second is the time it takes out of the game, time I would rather be chatting with my clan or doing anything other than hitting a stupid little button repeatedly with little hope of what might pop up. It's demoralizing.

    Again, I am happy with the change to the loot system, I think it was appropriate, it just had the side effect of a huge problem of hitting next forever with little profit. (which also drains gold from the game) I leave it up to the experts on how to fix it, but it must be fixed or I won't last much longer.

    If those 2 hours I speak of were the norm.... this game would a lot more fun to play! It's the other 2 hours that have people walking the other way!.... See what I did there? :-)
    I feel like I typed that response. The above is my exact experiences. The loot amounts have improved IMO... When you can find them. At this point I'd almost rather be able to find less loot on a single base but be able to find those bases more often.
    If the raiding is good at a particular time I will continue to raid even if all my builders are busy. Then I end up with a lot of loot and no way to spend it so at that point I'm willing to use gems to speed up a build to I can use my loot. With the looting/nexting as it is my gem use has stopped completely.

    The loot system and lack of loot are two different things. If they introduced more loot somehow, the system could remain and we could see more loot. The system is about percentages etc...

    something about next could work. Reduce the cost, let me set a limit to find loot I'd like and let it auto run...that would be sweet!

    I'm sorry about the influenza, I do hope those people have recovered, those lives are more important then the game in the palm of my hands.

    I like the idea, it means I might lose a fortune at times, but I can also make a fortune attacking rich farmers without shields.

    I'm not saying I support the idea, because I have no idea what the overall affect would be. But it does intrigue me and I'm tempted to say anything is better than the current situation. Watch me eat my words later. :eek:
