I bought the shield, a few days ago, the most expensive one. and it shows that it is up. but ive been attacked at least twice today on my village, im losing trophies. Please help me understand why this is happening

Unlike Guards (which you can freely attack through), Shields are reduced with each and every attack that you do while shielded. The cost in shield reduction drastically increases with each attack (esculating cost). First attack reduces shield -3 hours, then -5 ... the 9th attack on reduces shield -24 hours for each and every attack you conduct!
While shielded did you attack any base (including Revenge attacks)?
