You mean in the clan tab or friends list?
There are three different icons, one for regular attacks, one for friendly challenges and one for builder base attacks.

Swords if multiplayer, red tinted swords if war, and axes if builder. Very distinctive. I don’t know what a FC challenge one looks like, but it’s probably swords if multiplayer and axes if builder. These icons match the icons used for clan games challenges as well.

Friendly challenges are wooden practice swords. I know war is tinted red, but I don’t think it’s the same. We don’t war often, so I can’t test it now.
