The idea of "too much loot" is indeed a valid argument. Sure there is always room for improvement and adjustments to be made to find the "sweet spot" where it's "just right," but indeed the idea that flooding the game with resources will ruin it is still very much a reality.

If the game was flooded with loot and everyone could afford max level of everything then I am pretty sure it would have an incredibly negative affect on the competitive aspect and longevity of the game. Not saying the loot is perfect just backing up ZachUVA on his this particularly dated, but still relevant argument.

Aside from the mis-quoting of someone to prove your point which is not really on is it but anyway - I don't relate at all i'm looking at my last hour and 22 mins i've been raiding on and off - one 94k gold, 164k gold 51k gold (we are all human) and a monster 301k gold collector base anyone could have had....none of these took more than 10-15 presses.

Are you just looking in the wrong place we can not be playing different games and I don't know what TH you are but i'm on the worst one for loot - TH10

Look, the new loot system has completely failed. The loot was terrible until the boosts started. As soon as the boosts ended, the loot is terrible once again.

You are incorrect. What I and many, many others want is decreased search time/cost to find viable farming raid options.

And, as I mentioned in my most recent reply, your second statement is problematic. Increasing trophies does generally expose you to more loot (though I've searched 80+ times at 2300 trophies many times), yes, but it also means you lose more loot to stronger attackers. The net result is essentially the same. It's not viable for actually saving resources for large upgrades, which was one of the alleged primary goals of the new loot system as purported by SC themselves.

The only negative consequence too much loot would bring would be less profits in supercell's pockets. Nothing wrong with players being able to afford upgrades faster. For supercell staff your logic sure is flawed

Whoa bro no need to knob about it. I'm just saying you are not forced to read it. If you want to talk about something interesting maybe make your own thread.

Thanks for responding. I do apologize for not providing the full quote, as you correctly note that the context is important for that discussion.

Just as a note, I did not intend to call you out specifically here so much as to make a statement about a quote/idea I've seen used numerous times in the forums as defense for various loot changes. I probably should have found a similar quote from Steve a while back, but I just so happened to find the quote above in a thread I found via web search. I did not take note of the date on it, ergo my response in that thread.

I'm glad you agree that we are not near this point, and I hope that the SC staff members do, as well. I do wish, however, because we are indeed so laughably far removed from such a situation, that a hyperbolic statement like that not be used in discussions about the loot system.
Yep, no worries. I just didn't want a belief that I don't hold to be associated with me, and without the full quote and date, I felt it could have been slightly misleading.

But as to your point, yes, I personally don't see "too much loot" as a problem at this point. But, depending on the type of suggestions to raise loot being offered around the forums and elsewhere, that could come into play if the suggestion was drastic enough. Obviously SC takes raising loot very cautiously, though, so the risk of that ever happening is slim to none.

For me personally, I'm finding pretty good loot in masters using balloonions (especially DE).

Until supercell allows Inactives to be freed into the queue and the economy of the game to run normally again like before, loot complaint threads like these will continue to be made and players will migrate to other games.

ignore the complaints in the 160 page thread all you want supercell
