Clash of Clan is getting boring now!!!

During the christmas break, I was forced to stop playing Clash of Clans for two weeks. By "forced", I mean that I was unable to play as I was extremely busy during this time. Now that life is getting back to normal, I never realised how much boring Clash of Clan is until I stopped playing. At this point, I'm like I never want to farm again.

For almost half a year I have been playing this game and in this time period, I would go on every day to do the same thing every day which is farm millions of golds for those expensive upgrades while at work. I have never played any other game for this long. Now at this point where I have almost max TH9, I just want to stop and play something else, I don't enjoy the game anymore, at this point it feels like a chore playing this game.

The game has so much potential but SC as always is super lazy and almost like they have abandoned the game to get ready to release another game. The updates are so mediocer. Village Edit Mode, Personal Profile etc should have all been added when the game was released. Adding them after several months later is just playing catch up. My hope of Clan Wars will never happen anytime soon, if it took SC many months to release Village Edit Mode/Personal Profile.

Simple suggestions are constantly been raised by the members yet SC constantly ignores them.

Anyone else bored of this game? I would say I am now a casual player in tha I mean, I would raid possibly 2 or 3 times per day if I remember to, I never thought I would forget about this game. lol

What will make this game a lot better is the following features:
- Clan Wars
- Co-Leader Postion
- Map
- Significant Cost and Upgrade time reduction!!!!! It shouldn't take you a year to have a max base!!!

You can't be a casual player anymore. I have to have two to three hours of my day where I am on the game if I want to make any more progress.

Not everyone will agree, but OP, I am totally with you.

Exactly the same happened to me, over the Crimbo period I was extremely busy, so never managed to get on. Now that I can, I do not see the point. I have been a long term player, coming up to a year now. Do not get me wrong, I have enjoyed it thoroughly.

BUT

After those few weeks off, I can't help but feel it has become too monotonous. It IS the same thing day in day out. Farm to upgrade, or attack to gain trophies. Single player missions where completed long ago. They were fun, well, the last 3/4 were anyway.

I can't help but feel that I would get more enjoyment out of playing something else, on anything else. I know this sounds like a moan, well... That's because it is. But I can't help but feel in the same position as the OP. Something new to the game is needed, something substantial, not new upgrade levels, not even new troops.. It needs something else..

Now also with the added part of barely finding any loot. I find loot yes, but barely. Not enough for a town hall 10 to have 4 things building AND do walls.. A few days ago I put my phone down. It stayed there well after the notification came up for "Your troops are ready for battle!"

I just couldn't find it in myself to pick up the phone

I love the game, have loved, and always will, but there is much missing from this game that SC could add, but they aren't. They may have their reasons, such as concentrating on other games they have brought out.

But SC.. Please, remember us, don't ignore us. We are passionate about this game, and I would love to have the feeling back from when I first started playing, where I literally could not put the phone down. Don't lose us players SC.

I'm having the exact same problem, but I already have it way longer. I started playing in september 2012 and I'm TH8 now. Now you could think: "what is he doing wrong" or "is he really so inactive?" None of them is true, but in the beginning I only went for trophies. I didn't start farming before May 2013, and I started farming because I couldn't get any further with upgrades.

However, when I had farmed for about 1 month I started to get really bored of it. Tbh, I missed the fun of trophy hunting, but I didn't want to trophy hunt due to not being able to upgrade. Since I got bored, I only logged on twice a day to get my recourses and donate troops, but I didn't attack. In November however, I realized I had to attack to get further, so since then I preform 2-5 attacks a day, getting me one upgrade every 2-3 days. I'm to bored of the game to attack more, but to get less bored I have to trophy push. Problem is, when I trophy push I don't earn enough to get the money to protect my base with better defences and that makes me go back to farming. It's pretty much like an infinite paradox, and I don't see a way to get out of it.

So plz SC, do something game-changing so:
1) Farming becomes less boring, or
2) Trophy pushing will make us earn more
Either one will make gameplay much better, as if making money won't be boring anymore

Up to and including TH7 the game is brilliant, you just can't stop playing - there is a "joie de vivre" about it!


After that, all the fun gets completely sucked out of the game as you spiral into a vortex of endles raids/upgrades, with each subsequent upgrade costing more and taking longer. Rinse/repeat until TH10 and now some peeps are calling for TH11 - for the love of all things good and fun, please give us some game content!

This pretty much explains what happened after I decided to start farming (which was at a premmie TH8 (I skipped most of TH7))

You couldn't be further from the truth. yes, loot was mentioned, along with a number of other things. This thread is to do with the fact that doing the same thing day in and day out has become a bore.

We don't want to be bored with it though. We love this game, and want more than anything to feel the excitement again. I am with you though, I hope SuperCell will listen... but I'm afraid they will only do what they see fit, maybe another 2 week 1 gem boost for mines/collectors/drills 3 months down the line

It's not only the loot, it's the whole gameplay. Even when loot was great the game was getting kinda boring
