The Tempest: A TH8 Base Design (2 Formations)

I tried to make the south side a bit stronger for the farming version. Moved archer towers to the core and moved cannons a bit to the center. Then I used the leftover walls to make a little extra obstacle. Haven't had any serious attacks to it yet though but the funneling might work better now :-)

I have been using the 3.2 farming version for a pretty long time now with good and not so good results, but overall I have been happy with the base until today. I finished maxing all my defenses except the teslas who are on their way to lvl 6 as we speak. Yesterday I decided to fill my storages to see if anyone would try to get the loot and a TH9 with level 5 troops managed to get most of it. I don't expect much against hogs, mass dragons or a TH9 with max troops for that matter, but this guy used lvl 5 troops. Not sure if I should give the newest version a go or find another farming base, but I don't feel comfortable with 3.2 anymore.


As you can see he attacked from the top and his giants went to the right, but he managed to get to the core with the heroes and a few wizards. I never sit on this much gold, but it was interesting to get the base tested. I guess this proves that a smart attacker can do a lot of damage, I've had TH9s with maxed troops who have failed many times, which is why I have used 3.2 for a long time in the first place. I'm going to give the newest version a go, love your base design Orz.

(I doubt the teslas would have done much of a difference)

That's no plain old farming army, i use giant wizard combo for 2 starring some TH9 as well

Gotta be new version of Tempest judging by the funnels. I'm tempted to switch now as I'm pretty sure I know where the teslas and big bombs would be but not 100%. Is very cool looking though in the new version.

I'm digging Cube's version atm (thanks Cube). Had one serious hog raid from the south and they funneled like giants. Anticipating the new version...

This looks like a pretty bad base to me. 8+ WB gets you in the middle and its game over from there. Bases with open centers are a joke.

Well, im sure Orz wouldn't blame you for not being able to see why this base is so popular, I mean you couldn't even do a quick search for a TH8 hybrid base you had to make a completely new thread to ask for it?

8+ wallbreakers you reckon?
You can break open any base with 8+ well used wallbreakers.

I think you need to close Uranus to stop being railed (by gay men)
