Am I the only one who feels like clash of clans is declining?

Like I said, meaningless.

Every well thought out feedback gets trolled by "you is wrong *screenshot*", regardless of "side" one has taken on any discussion. So why waste time for any kind of feedback, other than this'n'that sucks, when it all gets ignored anyway. Simple like/dislike on different parts of the update would provide far more accurate results. You know, the typical internet survey type of things. That'd also save so much time and effort from everyone involved in the game & forums.

I guess SC overestimated the literacy and the maturity of most of the forumers here.

Not really their fault, especially when there are people who actually believe that "loot sucks" is a form of constructive feedback LOL.

I'd agree with that. However, the one difference is the positive posters don't expect more from SC. They sometimes expect more from the loot sucks crowd and in that sense, yeah their posts are equally as effective.

Thing is, if you take your time and write in detail why you don't like the update.. And see plenty others write good vallid points and constructive feedback.. But don't see any reply at all from supercell, then why bother wasting your time on long thought out posts if they wont even bother with a reply ?

True, but Steve has already posted on it in the stickied thread. He says that loots appear better for most and that they are monitoring it closely along with saying they'd like to address certain issues like people hitting next a lot and maintenance inactive base loss. I think that is a fairly reasonable approach to the loot situation anyway.

So if your sentence above should fit to this scenario, it should actually be :
Do u have any idea how annoying it is as a restaurant owner to have the same bunch of customers come in day after day, order the same thing on the menu, and then complain it sucks? When restaurant owner hears this, he just disapears and never ask why, so he never finds out if they will reply that "it's your job to figure it out, i'm going to eat next door". Or of they will actually be more detailed about the problem and help him in solving it.

Now that fits a bit better than the example you gave, don't you think ? ;-)

His point is that lots of people who are complaining are doing so because they are attempting to play exactly as they were before. They keep trying the same thing over and over and keep coming back with poor results. The loot is out there and it might be that people have to change their tactics to get it. The suggestion is before throwing your hands up in disgust try posting in tactics forum with screenshots of your base, descriptions of troop layouts, etc and ask some questions. Put in some effort to adapt to different tactics.

Allow me to elaborate. With regards to loot, the forum population IS a minority, out of millions of clashers.

I mean there are literally 50 players in 抢劫上帝, 100+ players from Ex family, etc etc who did not complain about the loot. If i go on, i'll be listing down thousands of players who are NOT having problem with loot post update.

So yea, whiners are a minority at this moment.

One of the points I made is that most of the people that are disgusted enough with the gameplay of clash of clans YOU will not even hear from. They will just go away. They will not put their storages outside. They will not join the forum to complain. They just stop playing. The app gets deleted. Collector town city (yay, more for us!). But overall, bad for SC. SC will not see these people necessarily as they are basking in the afterglow of currently increasing membership from both Android launch and commercial advertising campaigns. There will be some time before the new members/customers/players become aware of what is afoul in the gameplay.

You guys keep attacking the messengers in that those of us voicing complaints over loot, over OP/nerfed troops, over OVERALL GAME PLAY (this thread) are still committed enough to the game to help orchestrate such changes that will keep us playing the game. You are arguing with the people that still care about the game. Your attitude towards people that are trying to help, is the exact same feeling that you were getting when you were trying to offer playing advice to people that didn't ask for it and you felt snubbed. You seem to have mistaken the feedback thread as a Q&A interactive session. Let me explain, it is like those suggestion boxes that you put your suggestions in, the interested party don't contact you personally, nor do they specifically answer every question.

SC interact with players as they see fit, and for you to demand an answer from them is naive.

I imagine customer retention is somewhat important to SC. Perhaps not, but it would surprise me greatly if they didn't monitor statistics about how many people have gone inactive over a given period.

I agree. I don't quite understand the mentality behind some users who think that others have to post up to their standard. The forum is free for everyone, all opinion needs to be taken seriously. While some comments are not as good/detail as the others, they hold equal values because this is accumulated feedback.

People voicing their concern by no means affects your enjoyment of the game, if anything it's only for the better (FOR YOU). So what with the antagonistic attitude?

Yes i agree that you are not restricted in any way to post "loot sux ballz SC is greedycellzzzz!!".

But don't expect me to take this into consideration when i'm trying to figure out how many players dislike the loot system, because I know SC sure wouldn't. At least i hope they don't listen to spam whinings.

I agree that forum population is just a small minority out of the millions of clashers but those who do not use or go on a forum to complain doesn't mean there not complaining and happy with there game. There are thousands of people who will be upset about the game and just stop playing rather than go on a forum to complain.

The minority that are on the forum are likely to be the ones that have the greatest passion about the game and these people are the ones who are normally be telling everyone how great the game is and telling everyone to play it, if the forum users are the ones complaining then its there biggest fans of the game which are complaining...

Look, I don't hate the game. Don't put words in my mouth. I dislike the update.

I am free to assume anything I want, and make my own predictions as to how the future of the game will come down.

Assumptions are made by YOU just the same, assumptions are made at SC, assumptions are made all the time. Don't tell me not to assume something only because you don't like to hear what is being said and fear it will lead to some change of your newfound gravy train of the new update.
