Lightbulb Dreaded “accidental” derby task pick

I’m sure everyone has done this at least once... intending to “trash” a derby task, but accidentally hitting the “accept” button instead Grrrr! This is so frustrating, especially if it is a task that will take at least a full day to finish (e.g., boat, particular crops, etc.). To replace the mistake costs 10 diamonds (to purchase the additional task)! I suggest that the game be made to require DOUBLE TAPPING to select a task, thus giving you the opportunity to avoid this mistake. Does anyone agree with me?

I think its not necessary. Even though it happend to me too. I can understand that in the end it might result in wanting to spend diamonds to finish the task or to do an extra one cause you can not do the current one or something. But I think that if you apply it here, you can apply it anywhere. And Im definitely not looking forward to double tab everything.

This is simply a case if poor design, and is among the MANY desperately needed UI improvements. Simply move the accept button to the top of the area. Double tapping would not solve the issue, as the double tapping would simply become so routine that you would do it subconsciously, and therefore it would still happen.

Double tapping has cost me diamonds in the fishing area. I would tap to accept the fish, then I would tap again (thinking the first tap did not register) so to catch the next fish only to realize I just reactivated that specific pond using diamonds.

I’ve done it too. Sometimes I trash it and sometimes I just do it. Most of the time I just do a 10th task to make it up.

Happens all the time in our hood. A work around we try is that you have an active task before you delete, that way you cannot accidently select the task.
you just need to make sure you delete tasks before you finish the one you are on in case there isn't one you want to take.
