This is an extremely misleading title that has been touched upon many times before in much more detail.

My personal opinion is this: Try to revenge someone first. Revenge costs nothing, and you get the added bonus of knowing that there's nothing they can do to you. Sure, search cost might be a little bit high, but if you're where you should be trophy wise, there should be no issue finding good loot...
