    Blossom Derbies

Anyone else really hate blossom derbies? This one has been really bad for me. I never have more than 6 or 7 tasks to choose from when I need a new task and at least half of them are low point tasks.

Team of 4, trashed almost 600 tasks! I have noticed that during the tail end we got better 320's and more variety.

Blossom derby is relatively new for me and I didn’t really get the “staggering” task trashing strategy til this derby. If u have the time, wait a few sec between trashing tasks and be on shortly before the tasks reappear again in 30 min. I think there is a certain minimum # of blossom tasks that will appear on ur board based on ur hood size. Since I am solo derby, that appears to be 1. I noticed if no blossom task on my board, next one to appear will be a blossom task. If it’s not a blossom task u want, trash it and next one to appear will still be a blossom task. Keep trashing til there’s a blossom task u like. Otherwise, yeah, if u just trash all tasks u don’t want as fast as u can out of habit like I usually do, next round I get one blossom task I may or may not want to do, and a ton of low point tasks and rarely a nonblossom 320. Hope this helps lessen the # tasks u have to trash before u find a good one.

I found this derby really frustrating and pointless being in a hood on my own. I trashed 631 tasks in total just to find the higher ones.

A Blossom Derby for a solo player is much like a regular derby except that to get tasks that are 320 points may be more difficult. All of the blossom tasks are 320 points, and if you stagger the trashing of the board, it’s possible to get tasks you can finish quickly, instead of waiting on getting 9 or 10 regular tasks that are 320 points.

I am a solo player and in order to get 10 fast 320 tasks (so i have a slim chance of winning without spending diamonds) i was trashing till Sunday morning. God knows how many hundreds (thousands?) of tasks trashed. For those who are still eager to play, hardly enjoyable experience, to put it mildly.

This Blossom Derby was like a bamboo manicure...excruciating.

Iím normally done with derby by Friday...completing last task right up to end of day Sunday.
And then the horseshoe rewards...well, put it this way..no more Blossom Derbies for me.

I would check your trashing strategy. We, team of 4 trashed maybe 100 tasks and we did only fast tasks (wheat/corn/mining/help/train/truck).

As the number of blossom tasks in your board is limited (4 derby players, 2 blossom tasks), you need to keep short pause between each trashing and then, 30 minutes later, be ready to trash tasks as they emerge one by one.

Edit: nevertheless the victory and maybe 12 hours completition time, I'm not a fan of blossom derby either. It's too demanding to be always there to trash at the exact time and then get everybody to do their share promptly.

We came in 2nd place! So though it might seem like the blossom derby turned into the trash derby, my team did all right
