I just don't see how it can be "tough" if 3rd is a target.

Because good for us is going 7 and 0, anything less than that is subpar to our standards. Clans come in all shapes, sizes, and beliefs, knowing this, it’s easy to “see” how some clans goals in CWL are higher than others.

You are in Master 1.

7-0 gets you to Champions 3. Unless you are in the yoyo position (promote one season, demote the next), or are good enough to be at the world championships (so why would you be n Masters 1) you will at some point reach a level where you won't be able to get 7-0.

First time in a while we're completely outmatched. Too many of our top players have opted out this month so we had to fill the gaps with some TH12s and even TH11s. Small chance we'll take 6th but looks like we're going to get knocked out of Masters this season

We got a tough draw.
2 World Champions Clans like Blaze JP and SNT Elite is in our group.
Along with them also have two clans with 25+ win streak.

Going to be a fun week for sure this time.

What a difference a relegation season can make..
We were totally outmatched last time in Crystal 2 and finished 7th..
This time out, spun on day 2 (still personally think it makes a difference in those tiers), with a 4/3/5/3 break down..
43 stars on day 1, and day 2 against 2nd placed clan is looking like being somewhere similar..
Already looking like being back in Cr2 again next time around.

Currently we're at Crystal 3 after being promoted from gold 1. We usually yoyo between Gold1 and Crystal 3.
We're on 15v15 war with fixed roster,
2 max th13. 4 th 12(non max). 3 th11(non max). And 6 mixed th10.

there's a big chance we might getting promoted into crystal 2. And that was quite surprising for us Since we're usually relegated back to gold 1.

I wonder if there any connections between lot of clan doing 30v30 at Crystal 1 and above?

We were advanced to Crystal 1. We had an easy go of it last cwl the match ups were fairly even. This go around....not so much. We are up against higher th levels than most of us and better skill. So we go from #1 in Crystal 2 to total trash in Crystal 1.Luck of the draw. 🤕

With mixed hall rosters, and so many clans of varying stages of development and skills, it is difficult to place any emphasis on anything other than luck of the draw..
We bounce between Cr2 and 3, and I put faith in spinning on day 2..
we spun day 1 last time in Cr2, and got totally outsized and outplayed.. This time day 2 in Cr3, and we are one of the big boys and way out in front on day 4, to the point where we added a TH10 bench warmer and a 9 today, but will still win again..
But cwl for mixed hall in middle tiers is a lottery..
All good, so long as your expectations are realistic.

Yep, is our experience too..
We go casual heavies day 1 for cwl, hit your mirror, and if you attack you keep your place..

Stars and results arent important, and its a chance for the war players to do hero upgrades without a book..
But we go one season over powered, next season under powered..
Such are the fortunes of cwl..
So long as people get their 8 stars and dont let frustration set in, its good for progression.
