    “Next Bunny Time” keeps changing

According to the bunny timer that was there yesterday, my third bunny was due this morning at 10:30 am my time. But when I went there at 8:00, it said the next bunny time would be in 4-1/2 hours, which meant it had moved from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. So I checked back at 12:30 pm, but it then said the next bunny time wasn’t for almost 2 hours, meaning it had moved from 12:30 pm to 2:24 pm.

Now, at about 1:30 pm, there’s a bunny on the race track that says 0/2 (I play solo), but the tasks aren’t in pink, and the bunny timer doesn’t show that it’s bunny time, saying “Next Bunny Time in 54 minutes.” So I don’t know whether or not it’s bunny time.

This is ridiculous! I don’t know if the bunny keeps coming early or if the bunny timer keeps resetting itself, but either way it’s not working. And that’s on top of getting mixed messages about whether it’s bunny time. I’ve been waiting days for the third bunny, watching other people take the top 3 places, and now I don’t know if and when the third bunny will ever appear—and whether there will be a bunny on the track during the official bunny time.

SC, please fix this! These glitches are really annoying, and they make the Bunny Derby very frustrating.

when you mean you play solo, does it only mena you are alone in derby or that also means no other farm (played by other players) in your hood?

I have a few ideas but I need more information to fully undertand the timer.

    Thank you in advance!

I am alone in the derby. There are 3 other farms in my hood, but none of them have ever played in the derby.

Thanks for you help, here are some of my understanding / speculation, I'll observe more to confirm a few others:

    - once the Bunny is already on the race track, the Bunny time announced is quite correct. However the Bunny time is kinda like order in valley, it does't trigger automatically after the 1h30 break, player needs to log in to trigger it. In other words, each bunny time is separated by at least 90 minutes from each session.

    - now the arrival of 3rd Bunny: whenever Bunny arrives on the race track, it triggers automatically Bunny time regardless what was announced. The Bunny 2 and 3 came early, I am not sure how long in advance regarding the announced time. By the way, I don't think that this timer announced the arrival of Bunny but some kind of scheduled bunny time which would no longer be relevant once Bunny came.

    - and quite similar to building orders in valley, even when the wait time expires, only when player logs in the game that new order becomes available. So if you completed in order and came back 5h later instead of 4h, your new orders will just started and you have full time to do it. In Bunny derby, from my observations, even if I log in 2h after than the end of previous Bunny time, my new Bunny time would start rigth away for me.

Now the thing I am notsure about is: who can trigger bunny time: only derby participant or any active players in the hood regardless their derby status?

In my experiencing hood of 3, there are just me, me and me so I can be sure about who does what, not so much in your case where there are other non derby players too.

I'll try to pay some more attention to my mini hood and see how can I explain it better.

meonhoc, thank you for your response, which I appreciate. Can you (or anyone else) verify—based on your own experience—that when there’s a bunny on the track, tasks will count toward catching it even when the tasks are not pink and the bunny timer does not say it’s bunny time (but instead says that bunny time is at a specific future time)?

Well, if task does not have Bunny icon on it, regardless the time it is completed (during Bunny time or not), I would think it should not count. Otherwise it defeats the purpose of taking task during Bunny time. This is the case the first ever task we took to start the Derby. Do you remember when was that one completed (I trashed mine)?

As for timer, I'll remember to plant Lily next time after bunny time ended to compare with next Bunny time session, or simply put a msg in chat for the timestamp.

Thanks for your response. Like you, I was guessing that a task without the bunny icon wouldn’t count. But it was confusing that I saw a bunny on my racetrack. I really wish someone from SC would clarify what the rules are.

I’m not sure which task you’re asking about, and in any case I don’t know the exact time. But I took my first task on Wednesday (late afternoon or early evening US Pacific time), and by the time I finished that, it was already bunny time. And by the time I did two tasks (non-mystery) to catch the first bunny, it was bunny time again. I quickly did two more non-mystery tasks that I’d prepared (long production tasks I’d started on Tuesday), and I caught the second bunny. Then the timer said I had to wait until Friday morning for the next bunny time.

sounds like we are having similar issue, Luv. I am solo derby player in my hood of 9 members. I need 2 tasks per bunny and am on 2nd task to capture last bunny. The bunny time timer keeps changing even though I keep track of the time on my watch timer so I know how it compares to real world time. Read through meonhoc’s reply and if I am understanding it correctly the timer may be resetting depending who is logged into game. It shouldn’t matter whether you are logged into the game or not, timer should be an absolute, not relative to being logged in to make sense, otherwise you are forced to be in the game constantly? Who has time for that? Seems like a glitch. Btw, just did it again, my watch says 1hr 4min to next bunny time but game says 1 hr 29 min yet again.

Sage214, I can see why the timer work this way, similar to boat. It comes when you log in so you still have full time to prepare.

In other scenario, it would be like the ghost on the lake, keep coming at regular interval but people would still miss it multiple time a day, resulting in them not catching the bunny time at all.

But the boat timer doesn’t keep resetting the way the bunny timer does—at least not in my experience. If the boat timer were as erratic as the bunny timer, after I sent off a boat, it would tell me the next boat is due in 4 hours. Then, when I logged in 4 hours later, it might say that the boat is due in another 2 hours. And then when I logged in 2 hours later, it might say that the boat is due inanother 2 hours. But I’ve never seen anything like that happen. Has something like that happened to you?
