Can anyone ID new plant on Greg’s farm?

Hi there — silly question that has been bugging me for a couple of weeks —

Does anyone know what plant is growing on Greg’s farm, to the left of his barn, next to the cow pen? It has reddish (rust)- colored blooms on long wheat-like stalks.

That is one of the possible level 3 of Custom Decoration (the plot deliver by Alfred for lv71 and above or can be won in Derby). The flowers are called Jacaranda in orange colour.

But they “jiggle” up n down like crops do when they’re ready to harvest. Maybe a crop to be released in a future update?

I completely misunderstood the question.

The "plant" should be ginger. Looks like ginger at its root.

There is a crop patch there. I think it may be ginger. I haven’t looked at mine carefully before harvesting. I just planted some for comparison. I’ll get back with the results unless someone has an answer before my ginger is ripe.
