This is one feature that I feel has to be an absolute: The tournament would in NO WAY change the current play (it would simply add to it with a new feature). So yes, you could still attack normally while the tournament was in play. Further, if you had a shield and attacked WITHIN the tournament structure, your shield for the regular game would remain in tact. Think of he tournament play as a separate yet integrated entity.

I think this is an amazing idea. The only thing im worried about is what if there was a clan with a full capacity, 50. Then they went up against a clan with a capacity of 44. Then wouldn't some of the clan members/elders feel left out? I'm not sure if you already mentioned this but if you did already make this statement i will go back and re-read.

Thanks for the feedback! Under MATCHMAKING I said "This AMPL would then be used to put you into a tournament with clans that share a similar AMPL AND share the same number of clan members." Therefore clans SHOULD have the same number. Now whether of not all clan members are active or not is a different story but if a clan has inactive members this will hurt them in the tournament, but active clans should have an advantage right?

I especially like the Rating based on Military status. Many players are TH9 or TH10 but didnt advance their defenses or armies. It would be good to have a Level System based on something other than Trophies or Experience.
A few questions/issues i just thought of:
The cost of training troops for the tournament: That is no way is in the confines of the tournament? The troops you train for tournament battles would be the same troops that you may end up using in a normal attack? (Pretty much, will there be a second sections where you choose your tournament troops)
There also may be issues with base layout. In the tournament you loose no loot. So using your storage's as blockades would be common. But if you expose your storage's more, than a normal attacker will be able to get your loot. Unless you were to create a separate tournament layout that is accessed during the tournament.
On that note, what about buildings under construction. Would you just have to make sure not too many people in your clan are upgrading some important defenses? or with the upgrading be put on hiatus during the tournament? (or will the defense just work during the tournament attacks)
Thank you for the thoughtful shortcomings. These are all valid and constructive points.
1. Yes the cost of training troops would be the same as the game now meaning, if you would use normal elixir and game training time to train.
2. Base layout is a VERY interesting point. If we could save multiple layouts great - BUT I would suggest that decisions would just need to be made - focus more on farming OR trophy pushing / tournament play. Not unlike the decision facing players today.
3. Again, upgrading would work as normal - you're more vulnerable on your defense when upgrading in the game as it stands today - so you would be vulnerable in tournament play also - part & parcel with upgrading.

Idk if this has already been posted but wouldn't it be unfair if a townhall 10 attacked lets say, a townhall 6. Easy 3 stars. Maybe there should be a penalty limiting that more?
