Another try to limit free diamonds and push players into buying more. Of course it needed adjustment. Like anything else introduced lately by SC, for the same purpose: force them to buy more diamonds.

More free fuel??? I have read somewhere that the cost doesnt decrease with the time any more but could not vouch for this since i have stopped buying anything, even for 1 diamond.

Chill derby??? But of course: take additional task every day for 2 diamonds (i.e. 14 per week) for lame prizes.

I used to be a very eager player and never sorry to support the game by regular purchases of diamonds. But lately everything new introduced is directed into forcing players to spend more and more and more.

Well, with me it has directly opposite effect: i spend less and less. I disengage Tom, i dont take additional tasks in derbies and never ever take and pull boats. Still playing here and there, while searching for another game, where the developer will be a bit less greedy.

It's because of miserly players like you that SuperCell must squeeze the rest of us like lemons for cash!

TBH, diamond is a big issue with the game. I wouldn't mind spending diamonds, but I rarely find stuff that is worth the diamonds. Once some machine slots bought, a few speed up here and there, there is not much thing left that I care about and cannnot get without diamond.

I don't want to play a game of "who have the most free time and the biggest pocket". In fact, I find this practice could destroy the balance in game thus harmful. I would spend some on BEM/SEM if the limit is reasonable, not as high as people can get to.

Now I'm doing the Maggie challenge which will cost me 65 diamonds once finished. I still do it for the fun.

As far as their generosity, I find HD to be more generous than other games.

If you choose to open the piggy bank, yes, you can get 2 of the big prizes if you have enough tokens for both.

At least we have 3 very nice choices without spending diamonds.
Wussy, hope you’re staying safe. Lots of headlines about grocery workers.

To the Valley: I have only gotten free gas once this Valley and it was 4 units. Every other stop has yielded 3 or 4 units only for sale except for one 20 fuel offer.

While I do wholeheartedly agree that SC is in general more generous than loads of other games, I just don’t find that the Valley adjustment falls into that category. On the contrary, I believe there are behaviours that SC is, alternatively, encouraging and/or discouraging.

A truly generous move would have been to add 10 diamonds to the deco without refusing...oops...reducing the 40 diamond prize. The obvious reason to do it the way they did was to...well it isn’t useful to repeat myself. 😏

Wussy, how many years have you been playing? I would not call 839 generous for years and years of playing at all.

I used to spend around EUR 500 p.a. on the game (and maybe even more) and I did it gladly too. Without counting how many free diamonds i got.

What I dont agree with and will never support is that all changes which are introduced (or a vast majority of them) during the last year are directed towards trying to push players to spend more. Gregs shop, valley, 80 limit, derbies, these are all full of such attempts in my opinion. Before, if i needed 2-3 bems or sems to upgrade, i would buy them without hesitation. Also used to spend diamonds to bank one item to free a bit of space. After 80 limit, i would not even consider anything like that. Used to do boats pulling each one of them in derbies till i saw a pattern of the tasks appearing on the board, with the aim of pushing competitive players to spend more and more.

So, in short, i did not mind spending on the game a reasonable amount at all. Until i saw im being pushed into it in many different ways.

I started november 2012, however, I have spent hundreds of free diamonds if not thousands, including over 500 that July weekend on puzzle boats (best hay day event EVER, thanks Frisco)

I routinely bank my EMs when I am down to needing one more of any by choice. If I call boats with diamonds, it’s by choice

my point being that there are plenty of free diamond opportunities for everyone and I don’t feel pushed. I just make thoughtful decisions that enhance my game play

thanks BG... I’m all good here. I feel safe at work and it’s nice to be out and about and getting paid
