I don't know why everyone is worried about the 4th mortar

    aren't you all upgrading them?
As for the demise of this base.... it's greatly exaggerated. I've yet to be 100% in this base.
Obviously the higher you go in cups the greater the chance but you'd have thought in Clan Wars I would have been challenged. I have not had more than 80% in any clan war. I am almost always the last base the other clan's attackers attack. If it was so easy to defeat you'd have thought they'd all put me down early in the war.
The best attack against it is the giant/healer army but they get put down at about 50% of the ring. I'm using a trophy core so there's a ton of stuff in there to cause trouble for attackers but I actually leave the TH outside farming style.
This base is quite easily the best base I've ever used. I'm going to hate to go to TH10 some day.

I wonder why everyone is asking how they should modify their base to handle this 4th mortar... I personnally solved it in a very easy way, valid on all bases, all lvl : You always have at least one def being upgraded, so simply put this def outside of your walls as you don't care about it, and exchange with the next one when it's finished... This way you can easily include your 4th mortar as a replacement for the uprgrading def. You should be ok until you have finished maxing your TH10 ;-)

I built my TH10 based using the same principles as this one, with a mix of a few elements I found interresting on other bases... It's been working pretty well for me until now ;-)

You're kidding, surely? I'm sure Peabak would be the first to admit that this is in no way a war base. Giant/healer is the best attack in war? You've been lucky with your opponents.

    Not kidding, at all.
Lucky? I've been playing through all the wars the game has to offer with this base.
Perhaps you don't recognize the potential. At some point you'd think this base would fall to a real savvy player right? But it hasn't.
Whether Peabak agrees with me is of no consequence. I'm rarely, rarely two starred. Perhaps it's time to upgrade your defenses?

Misread your post as you misread mine. The best attack against this base is the giant/healer army. It's not my first choice in war but GoWiWi and everything else has been thrown at it and it is rare to get a 50%.
What's your war base look like JonT? Seems you have a lot of answers.
