Ringus: An Early-Mid TH9 Farming Hog-Cleansing Design

I am a bit farther along then you (three lev6 teslas) and I am using Farming Ringus, I changed the bomb layout slightly so I could squeeze the little bombs in with the big bombs (kills lev5 hogs). So far it has held up good, I always have defenses upgrading so it hasn't been perfect. If you have at least 1xbow it works fine. Ballonian 3 starred me while xbow,WT and AD were upgrading, it was a good attack and the ballons broke the ring fairly easy. All the hoggers and giant healers have failed to get more then one of each storage.

Agreed, with xbows/AD/HT out vulnerable to air attacks. But since the update before last 2 x lvl 3 GB's do 150% on hogs and will for sure wipe out lvl 5 hogs, don't need small bombs there. Best use them on another entrance to help defend vs gi/barch attacks...

Here you go, the TH8 version in thumbnail below.

It defends well against hogs, giants etc - Lvl 4 hogs have 415HP and going through the bomb cluster they come out with 10 left, ready for wiztwr to cleanup with 1 shot.

In the absence of the 4th GB you get at TH9 it can still be hogged, but only normally by lvl 5 hogs - and if a TH9 wants to wipe a TH8 and knows what they are doing, they always can!

You need to get those central airdefs upped as high as poss as having the airdefs so clustered does leave it vulnerable to drag / loon /dragloon rage into the centre.

But overall it has worked better than most other TH8 designs we have tried. Drop by clan ayyyowar if you want to see how our Ringus is getting on! My TH9 lvl 99 Ringus is now a monster, haven't been attacked in last 4 wars at all

Would you happen to have a farming version of that base?

Those poor hogs don't stand a chance against big bombs lol. Blew 20 away at 1 time with my Tempest war base . Tempest has been working surprisingly well for me so far. lvl 5 and 6 troops have tried but haven't gotten anything close to make it worth attacking, and never close to 50% and that's always been with multiple defenses upgrading at the same time.

Working on the air defense... Such a long process, but only 2 to go.

I can not in good conscious refer this base in any way.... And I have maxed th9 mortars.. Tesla's.. And level ten AQ AND BK. everything else is th8 maxed

I have been using this for 2 weeks with DE storage in the middle. Been pretty good so far.

I used ringus once, yesterday. I have lost three gold storages and two elixir. Thanks to God they weren't full.

In that case you have the base set up wrong. Giants will funnel round the outside and get wiped. The seeking mines and teslas will take out healers. Move DE into the centre and it is well protected. Gold n elixir stores are distributed so they may get 1 or 2 of them but not all 4.

Only time I got badly hit was a super smart GOWIPE with lvl 3 golem n nothing will stop that. The design does have vulnerabilities but so does every design. On average this is a great design at TH9, so long as you have 2 xbows.

i always use the ringus design from the first day of my th 9..
one hell a great design

but since the next update will include 4th mortar,the question is, where will the 4th mortar be placed?

Been running the Ringus for well over 6 months now at TH9 whilst trying to slowly but surely max out before going to TH10. wars, farming, DE protection - it's the best base out there. Hands down. BUT ... Where to put the 4th Mortar when farming?!?!?!?! HELP!! ....
