Would you mind posting a screenshot of the th8 version? I am currently using tempest, but am interested in the th8 version of this. I was thinking of definitely using this base when I get to th9.

Here you go, the TH8 version in thumbnail below.
It defends well against hogs, giants etc - Lvl 4 hogs have 415HP and going through the bomb cluster they come out with 10 left, ready for wiztwr to cleanup with 1 shot.
In the absence of the 4th GB you get at TH9 it can still be hogged, but only normally by lvl 5 hogs - and if a TH9 wants to wipe a TH8 and knows what they are doing, they always can!
You need to get those central airdefs upped as high as poss as having the airdefs so clustered does leave it vulnerable to drag / loon /dragloon rage into the centre.
But overall it has worked better than most other TH8 designs we have tried. Drop by clan ayyyowar if you want to see how our Ringus is getting on! My TH9 lvl 99 Ringus is now a monster, haven't been attacked in last 4 wars at all

I'm using Farming Ringus right now, and I'm a fresh TH9.
New Air Def, WT are going to Lv3, two Teslas are going to Lv6 (still upgrading from TH8), new AT is upgrading to Lv7... fourth Tesla hasn't been built yet. Some of the new walls are still Lv6...
Do you recommend using it at that state? I mean, switching upgrading defenses is possible with the base...

May not be a good idea, because it'll be pretty weak at that point. Plus this base is pretty over-used, not as much as Pingfao's Tesla Theme Park, but I see this base in my nexts once in a while, I'd suggest using it when you're a mid-TH9, or just use a completely new base that nobody has seen before, like those new TH9 bases that pop up once in a while.Got a question.

The fundamental of the design is the giant bombs. Get the 4th one at TH9 and upgrade them all to max. Then the base steers hogs n giants towards the bombs and boom! No more hogsGot a question.

You can move things around but the second ring of non-defense buildings must never have any def building in it or its not ringus, it's detritus as peebak says

I am a bit farther along then you (three lev6 teslas) and I am using Farming Ringus, I changed the bomb layout slightly so I could squeeze the little bombs in with the big bombs (kills lev5 hogs). So far it has held up good, I always have defenses upgrading so it hasn't been perfect. If you have at least 1xbow it works fine. Ballonian 3 starred me while xbow,WT and AD were upgrading, it was a good attack and the ballons broke the ring fairly easy. All the hoggers and giant healers have failed to get more then one of each storage.Got a question.
