change nickname in the game

You can not rename your player name after you put one in and you can't name your town.

That is not entirely true. If you have a legitimate reason for changing your name, for example you name is offensive etc. then Supercell might change you name for you.

You can request SuperCell to change your name if it is either offensive or it contains you first AND last name in it.

Yeah, unless your username is offensive, contains personal information, or other important reasons, you usually can't have your username changed. If you do have a serious reason for needing it changed, you will need to email support (which can be done ingame under settings).

I want to change my name as the account was set up by someone else and it's not my name. Is that a legit reason? It's highly annoying as 15 year old horny american boys keep harassing me in global as they think I'm a girl.

OP, email support from ingame. They might change it if there's a good reason.
