New barracks 20 gems for 4 hours

As is evidenced with the replies, you can make boosting cheaper and people will still complain. While I agree it's a bit long, they made a change and made boosting A LOT cheaper on a gem:minute ratio.

For all of you guys who don't like it, think of it this way:

Instead of being 25 gems for 45 minutes, it's just 20 gems for 45 minutes! And you get an extra 3 hours and 15 minutes of boost time!

In reality, if you want to look at it: 5 gems less for 4+ times more boost.

I'd rather have five gems for one hour. It'd cost the same amount of gems to boost for four hours but there's more flexibility. I'd use 5 gems for an hour!

I'm not sure the point of any of this when you still need to wait over 2-3hrs for heros. Unless you gem those. Why can't they add a hero regen time boost.

For trophies, yes. For farming, you can largely avoid injuring heroes (at least the AQ), or do without altogether depending on the comp.

I do agree that heroes regen boost would be SWEET.

I am happy, because they basically made it cheaper. Now it's 4 hours! Since 20 gems isn't cheap, I will only be boosting on holidays, which is great! I will have time to use the full 4 hours during breaks, so it'll basically cost me 80 gems per day of boosting, if I only boost once.

Why are there sweeping statements that people always complain?

The way i see it, that's because players are interested in the game, therefore the game will continually get feedbacks or complaints.

I fear for the day when there isn't any complaint or feedback anymore. Seems Iike many people want such a day to come.

I wish they introduced this when the boost was 1 gem, but still a great addition.

This reduction is fair IMO.

If you can play for 4 hours straight, then you get the most value out of your gems. 5 gems per hour.

However if you can only play 1 hour straight, it's 20 gems per hour. Sucks to be you (in terms of CoC anyway, don't need to convince me that you have a life, i believe you and i'm sure it's more awesome than mine), but it is still cheaper than when it was 25 gems for 45 minutes so you still get a discount.

So everybody gets better rates than before, just that those who can play longer gets more value, as with everything else in this game.

its a change in the right direction, but I will only use it if im using my elixer farming army and I have a big chunk of time to play and also WANT to play for a big chunk of time. Seriously I would use it more if it were 5 gems for one hour because I can find 1 hour of play time more easily.

If I find a big chunk of time to play I will likely only use the spell factory boost...
