Walls after maxing out

Herro forum CoC community! Just wanted to give my perspective as a casual player and casual(maybe not casual) gemmer. Im a max th10 with lvl7 walls with 17/17 king/queen hero(only 280m gold grab, 1.8m DE farmed). I never paid attention to walls after lvl7 as I just lack the dedication and impatience to go further but now as everything max including traps, im slowly but surely maxing it.

I was a premature th9 (second day playing) and premature th10 when it first came out. I always had lvl6/7 walls, but had high level defenses (gemmed). To be honest, walls do not matter as much as level of defenses and base layout. Yes walls do matter but not as much as you may think. In my own opinion, the effort and time it takes to farm these walls takes away a lot of the fun if it is slowing down your defense upgrades (talking to casual gamers and not hardcore gamers where builders are always busy, it is harder as you near max level).

Now with the loot changes, my max th10 has less than 500k gold so less than 50k gold to take from me. Im completely safe from being looted.

DL/DR: If you are a casual player, no need to break a leg to get walls past lvl7. Im still enjoying the game by having walls to do as wel as heros.

My perspective is that defense don't matter at all (Cause it does not look as good as walls do) and it only slows down my wall progression.

It feels like this game is taken to seriously, when I go to like global I get comments like "Upgrade your defense or else you will die!!!" When it is.. If I does not upgrade my defense I will lose maybe 300k gold sometimes. No one accepts that I enjoy the game cause I do it the wrong way! Upgrading the defense however, is mainstream and helpful = it's totally accepted.

Everyone should play the game as they like and not get judged by it!!

Agreed, I like to max my walls and I think they are important to protect farmers resources but its great to get the perspective of different styled players.

its not hard to keep 4/5 builders running, the rest of the gold you just dump in walls, getting to max defenses are not hard, you see plenty of people with near max th 10 with lv 6 walls, they barely have the gold grab achievement.
walls are a way of showing people that you can farm.

We all have our perspectives, beliefs and strategies in this game of ours.

Personally I don't care about defense much.

To me, offense matters most and then walls.
I don't even try to win any defense and put my townhall out even when pushing.
As long as I can make up with some nice offensive wins in the next session, defense don't matter to me.

Walls do matter, as a psychological effect to TH snipers. They are usually lower level players and when they see good walls, they don't even try to raid the base but just take the TH for a cheap shield.

In the end, I will max out defense as well, of course. But it is my last priority.
Once my offense is maxed and my walls are done, I will progress to the next TH.

To me it depends on where you play:

Master up walls don't mean a thing, most players use balloons or hogs anyway.

Gold down walls matter as majority of players use ground based farming armies.

I tend to play in gold and my defense is maxed for TH9 and and i'm going to finish these level 10 walls before doing the TH.

That's true. No need to stress on walls past L7 if you don't want them. I do them because they look good to me. However you should keep in mind that casual players will never max out and will always have more defences to do.
