Angus the fisherman
Angus the fisherman was old and wise,
he'd been fishing for years, which was no surprise,
for he lived in the hut at the side of the stream.
to catch a golden trout was always his dream.
he'd caught many a Hutcheon and plenty of trout,
but in his quest for his dream his luck always ran out.
He tried different lures and he fished night and day,

He caught Sauger and Rainbow fish beside the shipwreck,

Yes I read yours and John , what a lovely poem, a very worthy winner Flijo. I also laughed at Johns, wondering if his story was a reflection on his RL, it made me giggle when the missus got to the lake before him and had caught the fish with her wedding ring, while Angus had spent hours mining for the gold nugget. Typical woman really... Using her initiative

I'm trying to think of my next one, I did think about trying for another pearl but my diamond tally of 2 indicates that it not quite the right time.
So glad to know it's not just me that goes to the extreme on competitions
