Why Do We Allow Task Reservation?

We were not always a task reservation hood. This is the reason we created our own version of task reservation:

One hoodie would plant something like strawberry. When their strawberry is ready for first collection, they go to the derby board.. And actually see a fellow hoodie just taking the strawberry task.. Unbeknownst to hood, two hoodies were prepping for the same task..

We allow task reservation because of time restraints of competitive derby.

If we know which task a fellow hoodie is prepping for, we know to prep for something else.

Another Reason We Allow Task Reservation:

Certain derby tasks, such as pumpkin pie, can take almost a full 24 hours, depending on how many pumpkin pie are required. Being a derby competitive hood means completing all tasks as soon as possible. Holding on to one task for almost a full day lessens the chance of being the first hood to finish. In that almost 24 hour time period of waiting on a long task, several fast, easy, not reservable tasks, like help, mine, and easy crop, could be completed. And when all required pumpkin pie are completely done, we can take the task we reserved, and complete that task in less than a minute.

Although We Expect All Hoodies To Use Diamonds To Guarantee Top Three, We Do Not Waste Diamonds

If one of us uses diamonds, we all use diamonds. Equal work together to win together.

However, if top three is already taken, we save diamonds. Why spend diamonds for the tenth task, if top three is already taken?

We also never require diamond use to speed up derby board. And we never require diamond use to speed up machines.

We feel everybody works hard to earn their paycheck. And real money should be spent on other things. Not on purchasing diamonds.
