    Advice re new member please

Just had someone join our clan. TH L9 Crystal League III

He asked me to promote him so he could send an invite.

Then he said the following ....

    [Removed By Moderator]
    search for this plz

(I searched and found the same name but shortened, I also invited)

    Then he said

My old ID which I have lost it as scam.
    caused due to supercell id
I also having lvl 10 clan
    which I lost it.

    Is this dodgy?
If so, what are they up to?

    Thanks
    Fing

I cant imagine what he want to achieve.😅

    Edit:
I wouldnt promote someone just because he ask for that. It is more a kick worth.

If anyone asks for promotion, we always warn them not to. They must earn it.
If they continue to ask then we would kick.

Anyone who 'loses' their village because they gave away their login information, has an issue. They can take it up with In game support, nobody here or in your clan can help them ... I'd be very careful with folks like these....

    It does seem odd.
Can they cause any problems for the Clan?

if any new member starts saying they had old accounts they lost, we fly by the old adage "when in doubt, boot them out"

This sounds good advice. Rhyming makes it easy to remember too.

never promote a newbie, no matter how they insist. simply say, oh just get that id to friend me, so i can check them out. ps, our clan rules do state "4. do not ask to be promoted, because you won't"

asking is instant red flag, too needy. earn it. over time.

and don't fall for lost accounts or that top player on the list is my main account either.

if you do promote them to elder, promote every other member you don't want to be kicked to elder first, and soon you will see a disgruntled Troll, who cannot kick another elder.

If I had concerns with a new player, I would kick just to be safe than sorry, not worth it worrying too much
