Maxing TH9 Walls (lvl10) and Heroes (lvl30)

While walls may be a bit less useless than they used to be they are still very useful. What I can't understand is why everyone plays the game like today's troops and strategies are static and will never change. Have you learned nothing from updates? This game is fluid and strategies change almost monthly. Mark my words there will come a day when you wished you had farmed those strong walls.

First, I would just like to say thanks to everyone who has posted their opinions on this thread. This is exactly what I was hoping for when I originally posted this. It's great to see the differing opinions as It is now very obvious that many of us are or were in this position. I have to be honest, I daily consider going to TH10... The reason I wont? (So far)...

I love farming! Trophy pushing is fun... For about a week! LoL... Then i always can't wait to start farming again! So why not reap the best benefits available! Look at it this way... For me, I use a very simple army of 8 giants, 8 WB, rest gobs and archers equally. 80% of my raids are collector raids... Smash and grab baby! So, when i come across those juicy TH8's currently I only lose 10% penalty for being one TH higher... But, if i were a TH10 I would get a huge 50% loot penalty!!!! That is not something I am interested in!

To me... Lvl 10 walls are required! It shows determination and that you are serious about putting the time into the game to get there... If you decide to go to TH10 and do it there more power to you! But, Level 10 walls are a huge goal of mine.

More food for thought... It only takes approx 80 days to completely max a TH 10 from a maxed TH9... Not including traps and heroes and walls of course... It takes a lot longer than 80 days IMO to max level 10 walls ... So why not get the hardest part done the easiest way and stay at TH9?

To answer a previous question, I used drags and archers to get to 2600... Then i used Hogs to get to 3048... Starts to become extremely hard with hogs around 2800... I think I could've made champion but they added discos to the game mid push. That really messed me up. Discos tear up hogs.

Not everyone is loaded or has a spare 10 hours a day.

Everyone's minimum priority for keeping up with the game needs to be defences, not walls.

Stitch is correct to say that you should prioritize defenses and not let builders sleep. Good job making the move to TH10 Stitch, will definitely join you in two months or so.

I think to be honest, in order to do this efficiently you need to focus on Gold then DE or the other way around. I think you'd waste too much time doing both together.

Gold farming at TH9 gets no easier than 1,375 to 1,475. 300k to 400k every raid with easy farming army, every 8 to 12 mins depending on army. Downside is NO DE.

DE at high trophy range is 3.5 to 5k average but you might need a whole army just for that.

So both are available but I can't see them together.

4) What is your army composition made up of?.... 80 Barbs, 124 archers, 8 WB, 2 lightning, 1 rage (Haven't upgraded spell factory yet)

I'm currently working on level 10 walls, I have 60 so far, and the rest is level 9. It's hard work, but like I tell myself; take it one wall at a time. Without the holiday boost, I would only get 1-3 level 10 walls done per day. I'm currently th9 with everything maxed out except for archer towers and teslas. Hero's are both going to level 19.

1500-1800 cups
2) Where are you finding the best spot to loot DE?
2000+ cups for DE only
3) Where are you finding the best spot to loot Gold AND DE?
1600-1800
4) What is your army composition made up of?
44 barbs. 44 gobs. 48 archers. 12 giants and 12 WBs. Why? Easy to cook and I get most of the loot all the time.
