Maxing TH9 Walls (lvl10) and Heroes (lvl30)

I am going to fully max TH9 before going to TH10 as well (unless TH11 comes out first and it makes sense to move up). I feel like I'm making pretty good progress, but I still have a long way to go. My heroes have been down constantly for the past few weeks and I miss them

Count me in! I am interested in a little friendly competition. I probably will be the last one to finish walls though because I suck at farming gold.

also i think it is a bad idea to keep builders sleeping just for heroes and walls.

letting all of your builders sleep just for the king/queen and walls is a really stupid idea

except if you goal is to max everything nobody should waste so much builder time. Every day you spend grinding means 3 builders at least are sleeping...what for? walls? nobody cares about walls past level 8. they help sure but they don't help as much as the additional defences at th10.

i'm 20 days away from reaching th10 and I for sure won't upgrade walls any longer. I have played clash for over a year now and I already sense a lower interest in the game than before. I hope th10 brings back some fun, if not there will be a base more to loot for collectors.

Do you guys honestly find that farming with such heavy units is more efficient than BARCHING collectors?

Seems that even if I were to collector farm 50K per raid I'd get more loot than you with the build time required for that army composition. And many times I can collector raid 150-200K.

That's correct, but with my army composition I can choose not to drop my all my giants and do a mini barb-archer attack for the same 150k if I choose to. However, with the seldom 500K TH10 inactive appearing, I can also raid those without regret or hesitation. I try to minimize the least amount of gold that slips through my cracks, it all adds up in the end.

I am another level 10 wall farmer that has had the majority of my builders on vacation for at least 2 months.. but I dont think its stupid. I like my level 10 walls, im even a teeny bit proud of them. Do I care what anyone else thinks? Not really!

What people tend to forget, and I think is the beauty of this game is that you can play it pretty much however you want... Its a shame that people feel they have to be judgemental of others just because they play the game in a different way...

Only a tiny bit?
My builders have been sleeping from the day I reached th9 until now, and it will keep it that way until my walls are maxed.. then, I don't know! Every time I even think of upgrading my defense I can't play the game for a few hours :S

It's not a stupid idea. If you don't do walls in TH9, you won't do them in TH10. Simple as that. I see a dramatic dropoff of people wanting / feeling the need to do walls once they get to TH10, it's not the loot system but rather some lack of motivation for whatever reason. Personally I think it's the lack of experience to grind through long farming periods even when the loot is good. Once at TH10, the loot system is at it's highest penalty, players simply "give up" to the system.

I agree that builders being idle is a waste, but keep in mind that the prices of gold for defence upgrades compared to what we're farming for walls is a drop in a bucket.
