    They nerfed them 2 or 3 times now. You need a handful of spells and a bit more strategy luring heroes and cc to win with them also. If you're getting flattened by Hogs with TH9 it's more than likely your base design that's the problem. Make pockets in your base for traps, double big bomb traps etc. I posted my alt TH9 base design in the other Hog thread that holds up amazingly well to most attacks including Hogs, Loons, Giants etc.

    Share the base. What trophy level was this at? It was probably horrible attackers or low level hogs.

    Send a screenshot, im using Pingfaos TH.9 Grand tesla theme park, and using healing spells on them them just makes them more op i dont really care freeze or rage but healing spells should nhave no effect on hogs

    Not like a th.9 base would have any chance against a Golem/Witches attack or a Ballon/Minion attack eigther.. Th.9 can easily be 100% by those aswell.. So you think they should be nerfed aswell then ?

    Might aswell face it.. If a troop is to have any chance or use against a fully maxed th.10, they pretty much need to be strong enough to whipe out a poorly set up th.9, or they would have no chance at all against a th.10 really.

    Hogs has allready been nerfed so much that with the right setup at th.9 can actually beat them, meaning that against most th.10 bases they are pretty much useless now.

    I know has been multiple nerfs probelm is that i cant find a base thats good hogs other statergys

    just change the hogs to camels, and change name to camel riders

    it would be too funny to nerf it, none would complain about it. also make camels speed like 50 or something, just imagine Mr. T sittin on a camel, with 50 speed..

    I would def. not complain bout it

    Just close your eyes and imagine. I promise, I won't dissapoint you guys.

    Hogs are fine. Hog attacks account for about 90% of my successful defenses and the great part is because they target defenses they get no loot either. Any more nerfs and they will go back to being a useless troops like valks

    Exactly. The thing with Hogs is they have very low HP so you have to take advantage of that. Traps are everything. Making a base where they go around instead of in is important. Old base designs like Hannibal's cross one with funnels are out of date now even though I see a lot of them around with my other account. As the game changes you need to adapt to the changes made in the game otherwise your base will get flattened by new techniques.

    Every anti hog base has three things in common...

    1. Spread out defenses, wiz towers particularly
    2. Well placed bombs and spring traps between defenses
    3. Unlurable or nearly unlurable clan castle

    Lastly, most obviously anti hog bases use the island defense I'll call it. It is about a nine by nine or ten by ten center. It contains your centered CC, xbows, both heroes, whatever else. Walled off. Then a space and surrounding it entirely is 1 layer of storages, collectors etc. walled off again. Rest of the defenses are outside of that.

    The point of the island in the center with buffer of storages and collectors is it makes a big base, the hogs go in a very predictable route bouncing here and there and everywhere on the outside, over your well placed traps and springs while the xbows rip them up the entire time. Hog users will hit heal spells when they get to a wiz tower so large bombs in the gaps between a cannon and archer tower is more effective as it forces the attacker to use their heals more carefully. Most will fail at this.

    Anyone who hogs or done any trophy pushing has seen these types of spread out island type bases and they are hard to beat.

    Compact bases with no spaces etc are stupid easy to beat. You decide what you want your base to be.
